3K watt HPS on a 8 Feet rail. 24 Plants

Has anyone done this before? Is this enough light to get 10LB?

or should i just go with 6k watts no mover?

i can pull 1.5-2lbs with 1k on a mover and 10-20 plants.

That's what I do. 2 - 600's on one rail/mover. 16 plants (I top them during veg. 4-6 main stalks per plant). 1.81 lbs last harvest (plus 30g of hash). No Co2... 3' x 8' growing area. If I were to add Co2, I could pull 2 oz per plant easy.

your 3kw sounds a tad over kill and if it's not, I'm still not sure how your going to get 10lbs out of such a small space...

light wise to get 10lbs your going to need 4,500-5,000w for an experienced grower with clones that you know.......could use less in a vertical application

inexperienced grower, or lower yielding strain will need 10,000w to get 10lbs

6K will get you 10lbs. I can't see 3K doing that unless you go vertical. 3k w/ light mover and veg time could get you 6-7lbs, though.

Probably because you are talking about putting three lights on one 8 foot rail - which basically means illuminating a 12 x 4 foot area.

For that large a room, you need 6 - 8K, depending on how much of it you are actually using as grow space, and how many w/ft2 you want to play with.

Because you never gave your dimensions and just mentioned one 8' rail. That means your working with 3-4' x 8'.

Heath did a vert setup with a single 600watt lamp and pulled 46oz with 86 plants.

we got different movers then, my light mover is 8' vertical and 8' horizontal. sorry for the confusion.

I want to do vertical grow but building the vertical system seems very confusing.
