I have some in their 10wk of flowering and no signs of clouding up trichs. I was given 5seeds from a buddy who was done growing and didnt want to just store them(so not to look a gift horse in the mouth, I took them) I ended up with 1 female(just my luck) so I cloned it and started 5 clones and veg'd for 2mo. Soon after I put them into flowering I relized I was going to have space issues, so I pulled 2 of them and kept the other 3. I now have 3 7' monsters(would post a pic but wife on vacation) and no sign of finishing up at wk10.

Just curious if anyone else had grown it out and what they thought, since I dont know when they will be done:wallbash:

I just finished 2 "The Pure" sk no. 1's, one came in at like 70 days from first showing pistils the other well over 100 days.

The 100 day plant, looked like shwag, wispy buds with minimal trichs, no smell, high is pretty strong how ever, almost trippy.

The 70ish day plant is pretty good, good high, not much smell, produced pretty well, 1 oz from a very small plant. moderate bag appeal.

No skunk smell or taste to be found with either plant.

I went into this grow with high expectations, looking for a quick harvest of like 55 days of some skunky bud, was pretty bummed out when the plants just kept going and going. For the amount of time these plants took to finish I could have grown something stronger like SSH.

Sensi's skunk 1 is 50-60 days. My mom came from only 3 packs of beans. It is dense and devastatingly narcotic. She adds bulk to anything she is crossed with.

Vigorous, Robust, Easy to clone and she flowered in about 70 days.

Big Fat colas from tiny clones.

Smoke was potent and ok but fogged my head with too much indica. I can taste/feel this strain in a lot of different strains and it makes me tired thinking about it.

Great first plant to learn to grow with, move on to something better after that.

You might not have the real thing...sk#1 should be done at 60 days...read up there is a lot of problems lately with the real thing...Alot of bad news with sensi and TFD...read the threads..thats what so good about icmag...crediblity is constantly tested..Read "the pure" thread at the Flying dutchman section it kind of says it all.....krk

for instance sensi has never changed the description of sk1 since the 80s. but todays offering is nothing at all whatsoever like 88-89 sk1. today sk1 is sickly sweet, not skunky at all, takes forever to flower and yields minimally. chemdd is much closer to the sk1 i remember from 89-90 dead shows. it seems that once the strain leaves north america and enters dutch breeding, the sweetness starts to emerge in the selection process.

How is the bud looking?, is it swollen? ,any red hairs?, is she smelling ?

I´ve been growing Skunk1 from DP indoors and outdoors for 8 years and never seen cloudy trics on them. D.P skunk is sativa dominant and you´ll see trics go from clear to clear ambar( real amber, not opaque). IMO skunk should be harvested in the early harvesting window, first signs of amber trics(others are still clear) with quite a lot of white hairs still, flavour is much nicer. Letting them mature to long will change flavour into a harshy-rancid weed. It takes 9 to 11 weeks to finish indoors, depends on pheno and environmental conditions.
Im talking about D.P. skunk, not familiar with any other skunk.

Why dont you get a tester bud and try it, you might be surprised

yea done it twice.

its a quality smoke without being exceptional. easy to grow but a slow'ish finisher (10/11 weeks i found) was easy to grow and can handle some abuse. bit smelly when growing tho.

overall its a fine smoke but for the time it takes to finish i would choose something else now. good yield though.

I grew Sam's Skuk #1, 1999 vintage, 5 years ago. the seeds were Gypsy's freebees for a while. I heard people had germination problems, but mine behaved normally. Indoors it was a moderately large plant, typical Dutch Skunk smell..sweet not road kill. Moderately potent and finished in 9 weeks. Pleasant taste. I made seeds, but haven't grown it again. I've kept the seed in storage for potential breeding stock.
