hey

i need to get a 125 watt big ass cfl too, this website has them for pretty cheap www.growco.com,you can buy a lampcord for one and hang it or shop ebay and pick up a adaptor to screw it into a regular lamp with a medium base socket or spend like 30 dollars and get a cheapy reflector

the ones that a few buddies use.. are standard, they fit in a normal socket. and it is known that 23-26-42-48 watt cfl's are a way better bang for your buck then those monsters.

cHeck out the CFL CLUB THREAD

I'm not a cfl guy but, have to agree with HA on this. Those that do use them seem to favor the smaller lamps.

id go with a big 125-250 cfl if you want to try a circular grow and hang to bulb vertical surrounded by plants, its the only method with theese bulbs were your not wasteing much of the light yet u never see anybody do it. otherwise go with 42 watters spread out, that way youll nullify the inverse square law alot more by having more source points, and also incase your bulbs burn out which they do from time to time, its much easier to run up to home depot or lowes or target or wallmart then it is to order a 70 dollar 200 watt cfl online and wait a 4-7 days for it in the mail.

Im using a single 42watt 6500*K bulb, They're around 8-9$, and are available at home depot, along with a few other retailers that aren't around my location. I tried other some hardware stores, but none carried anything remotely close to what I wanted. Cheers. You can also buy a few low powered HPS bulbs, but I didn't have the money and didn't have the time to locate a small ballast!

You can always add more than one bulb too, but heat will be your main concern!

keeping it real,
ug.

Depends on how big you looking for? There are 65 watt Bright Effect CFLs at lowes. They run about 15-17 bucks. Put out about 4000 lumens and are Warm-White. Self ballast and screws into a standerd light socket.

DO NOT buy these bulbs!!!!Do a Google search for bright effects cfls and you will see these should be taken off the market as they are shit design and a fire hazard.I cannot tell you a good bulb to use as I too am recearching cfls for a small clone chamber but these bulbs are crap seriously nobody had anything good to say about these anywhere.

No complaints here. I've had two close to a year with no problems.

look into MH or even CMH from 50-150 watts. .a 100 Cmh would beat the crap outa any CFL. this i know as fact..
CFL is not HID therefor it really doesn't go far..

Well as soon as they start selling CMH at home depot.. ill be sure to pick some up... but until then stop knockin the cfls!

People use different bulbs for different reasons!

but mad respect for the research you been doin on CMH's...
