You'll want to add a fan speed controller. Look at the hydro sites for the "speedster", such as this one. Should be about $20 bucks or so. Fantech makes one as well - though they are designed to be hardwired in, whereas the "speedster" is a simpler to use plug-in model.

440 CFM is ass kickingly strong for that cab size. I expect it is, damned loud right now :)

Are those glass windows in the doors? Why not flat white wood doors?

Is the cab vented at all? Or just the reflector?

Ya, one would think that the doors will become an issue when you switch to 12/12. Talk about major light leaks :) Might as well not even have the doors. Grab some mylar or something and paste it inside till you see no light leaking out.

if you peep the picture of the cab with all 6 pots in it you can see that i blocked out the "windows"...

no, the cab isn't vented right now, except i have one door cracked slightly open with a 20" box fan blowing into the cab itself... temps right now are 75.5 to 77.F. I AM going to add two small computer fans to the cab in a couple days, i was too broke for it the day i set it up. i plan on having one "in" fan at the bottom right and one "out" fan at the top left just below the reflector.

now, my bright idea was to build some sort of box to enclose the blower itself, but i'm real paranoid about a fire starting, so, the dimmer sounds like way more of a goooooood idea. and yeah, it is DAMNED loud, wakes me up every morning when it kicks on. i put a long bit of flex duct to the "out" side of the fan and wrapped it up in old clothes and that really knocked alot of the sound out, but, other than that, the sound is mostly the roar of the flying air...

Tagged, great setup bro!

I would love to see some more pictures, good luck!

theres some new pics, the door cracked open, the door open and top view of the ladies.

one question though about the dimmer... wouldn't a dimmer put stress on the blower's motor?? if not, i'm gettin' one NOW.

week two! depending on how they do, i'll switch 'em to 12/12 in a week or two... that bad 'mug in the far right corner is gnarly as hell... some of my leaves are real shiny, i've never had that happen before... looks trick.

if that tub that you have your pots sitting on is a res, you might want to start planning for height issues now...

It's probably too late now, but why even get a cabinet if you're putting it in a closet? If you're working a closet, just rig up a few panda film walls with tarp zippers or magnetic strips. This will allow you to take more full advantage of the size of the closet. It's very easy to dismantle, as well. Just tear the shit down, throw it in refrigerator boxes, and GTFO! lol

Maybe you can take the cab out and use it for something else in your place. Hey it's up to you. Hope you get everything worked out. Looks like you're well on your way!

Peace
