Low-odor strain for novice growing indoors in soil SOG style?

Anyone recommend particular strains for a novice growing indoors in soil SOG style?

Need something relatively low odor. Prefer to order from Seed Boutique.

I'd like to get a couple/few different strains for variety, both indica dominant and sativa dominant. Height isn't a huge issue as I have a few feet and am SOGing.

Quality is important, but yield is too. Ease of growth might be more important than either (we'll see how green my thumb is).

Also, don't want to spend hundreds and hundreds on them. Willing to weed through some less impressive pheno's looking for a good mum if it'll save me up front on seed costs.

I shouldn't have put low-odor first. While it is a concern, I'm planning a serious odor control system. I mean, I'm not going to grow a cheese or super skunk strain.

I'm actually equally interested in what strains are good for indoor soil SOG that are robust for a novice grower and are not especially rank.

And thanks, leviathan - that's a low odor thread I haven't seen yet. I'll be sure to avoid DP oasis, too, whodair.

Cinderella-99 is a low-odor and easy strain to grow. Racy as hell but you can let it run a bit longer and mellow it out. :D Wonderful daily smoke with lots of creative juice and get up and go. :D

Bit tough to find but they do grace the bay's once in a while.

My other favorite is Princess Diesel.... low odor, high yielder, easy to grow sativa. Super happy stuff but good luck finding seeds.

Northern Lights. Low odour, forgiving of the newbie grower, and good for SOG. Potency is good to great, yield is OK and they are relatively quick. I grew Nirvana's but there are plenty out there to choose from.

So far I'm thinking NRS's Ice & Chrystal and Mandala's Satori. I'd like to pick one more sativa or sativa dominant mix. Might be weird managing four different strains - guess I'll see - but variety is the spice of life. ;)

No worries on multiple strains. Just be sure to run them one at a time until you've had a few grows. :D

Look into "Bonsai Mums" for the strains you're not running just yet. By the time you get around to them you'll have some nice mums you can take plenty of cuttings from. Just be sure you label cuts properly before flowering them out to check the sex. Sucks to find out (A few months later) that you axed the wrong plant. Gah! :D

I don't know what is worse.... getting stuck with Indica when you're a Sativa head or getting stuck with sativa when you're an Indica head. Heh

Probably good advice; however, that's going to take some serious self restraint. How can I sit with a strain and not sprout & flower it for like a year. oofta.

Bonsai mums is the plan. ;)

haha. Yeah, I'm aiming for a good mix. Ice and Chrystal for the more Indica ones and Satori and Belladonna for the more Sativa ones.

We'll see how Belladonna does; I've read the odor can vary significantly between phenos. I think I'll be okay since I'm using carbon and ONA, and am ready to add ozone at the drop of a hat if carbon and ONA aren't enough. Plus, I wanted a Sativa known for a more trippy high.

All in good time :) Remember this isn't a sprint car race and the best results come from long hours, patience and a lot of work. :D

The easiest way to do it is to sprout them and keep the seedlings as bonsai mums until you can sex them. You can also build an additional cab to run other strains. I've been forced to run multiple strains because I need the different strains for medicinal reasons. Given the time and resources I would definitely have several cabs so I could run the strains separately.

As it is, I have several strains that I have as bonsai mums that I won't be able to sex for 6 more months and even then I won't be able to flower them out for a quality check right away.

The good news is that by then I'll have rockin Mums that can throw 50+ cuttings at a time, all ready and rarin' to go. :D

Yeah, I thought about it a little more, and I'm so excited to just get into this at all that I'll be juuuust fine starting with a single strain and working into the rest. There is a lot to learn about this hobby (probably why I'm so excited about it, beyond the obvious), so I'm sure I'll be satiated even by keeping it simple.
