what system to choose?

should be small and fit 6+ plants and cheap 250$ max

Why not a DIY DWC for $25. Drop an air stone into a bucket of water. Done. If you're real fancy, you can add net pots and hydroton. Now you're up to $35.

I did my first DWC for $6. One 1 quart paint pail with a ton of holes drilled in it, one 5 gallon thrown away food bucket with lid, and the cheapest airstone and pump I could pick up at the local megalowmart. I used gravel as my medium in the paint pail. It worked fine.

The most elaborate system I built this way didn't cost more than $45, and most of that cost was the pump.

Most people are going to suggest DWC. I say find your way and perfect it. Waterfarm is a good set up if your not the......build it kind of guy.

how big does the reservoir need to be for 1 mother plant and how big for 4-6 clones till harvest? ^^
