I went in one time, and it looked (felt) like everyone in there was leo. Hard to explain...they had this smell to them. (shrug)

The first time i ever went in a hydro/grow shop, the man behind the counter told me i absolutely must buy a full DWC from them along with at least 600w of HPS and 250 of MH or i would get a tiny amount of bud not worth smoking.

I've been back since, but only to buy biobizz g&b.

I love any shop that requires me to spend money in exchange for qaulity items. First time in a hydro shop though, we spent $500au on shit, but when we got home we realized we had been ripped $150. We went back and it was an honest fuck up. Since that incident though, he has really looked after us. Last week when our 1000w hps globe half died, he gave us a new one and is letting us pay him for it next week. He also gives us heaps of freebies now and gives us new samples of different shit to try when he gets it in. So it worked out to be very benefiting and worth that $150 mistake... We have been a loyal customer to him now for 5 years and he has looked after us so much...

I love going even though I know its dangerous. I am one who likes to look at the nutrients and compare. I ask alot of questions, not that I dont know the answer but I like to compare what he says vs what I have read on this forum. I usually get two different answers.
1st time I bought 3 bags of FoxFarms OceanForrest, 1 huge bag of FoxFarms Chunky Perlite, Flora Nova nutes(Now I use House&Garden), 4ft 8 bulb T5HO hood, 8 blue spectrum bulbs, 8 red/orange spectrum bulbs, 12 3gallon growbags , 4x4 HomeBox and alls kinds of other shit. Anyway I spent way too much money, and try to stay away but anytime Im near one I just want to go look.......

hydro stores are great if you go in there knowing exactly what you're looking for. the only time i talk to the clerks is if i cant find something specific. otherwise they'll try talkin you into buyin all sorts of crap you don't need. but i'm glad your first time wasn't a rape scenario lol they like to rape people

My first hydro-store experience was great, I walked in sporting my cane and purchased 5 bags of soil. I received no helps as I made 5 separate trips out the front door carrying these huge bags of soil. I dont think I'll be returning to that store.

I hate hydroponic shoppes. Overpriced products sold by 22 year old stoners that think they invented pot. Should've made them carry that out for you, or told them to keep it! I had the kid carry my hps to my car, and it wasn't even that heavy! You need to find a good greenhouse/nursery, the people are always 1000x nicer, and the prices are considerably less. Not to mention they always carry your stuff out to your car. Other than buying lights, I would never step foot into a hydro shoppe.
