Hello all this is my first thread posted on icmag but been reading for awhile some nice grows here! I've been doing my thing for years and for the past couple years I've been growing tree style! Im good friends with the medical dispensary around here and he gives me all his mother plants so for the last few years every plant Ive grown was already 5feet tall when I got it! But I always wanted to grow in soil beds so here I go

Ive got 4 lights burning Im wired for 11

2 x 1000 hps
2 x 600 hps
1 12000btu ac just to keep things steady
1 x cfm fan pulling air out
1 x osc fan moving air around

The Soil Beds

are two 5x5 beds lined with poly filled with two inches of clay rock on the bottom then dumped 8 bags of FoxFarm soil in each bed

there are about forty plants in each bed some of the flavors are

Blackberry from Visc
NYCD
ATF
SWEET ISLAND SKUNK
BLU BERRY
MK ULTRA
PERMAFROST
MASTER PERM
PURPLE ICE
PURPLE URKEL
AND MANY MORE!

I'd say flip them at about 12 inches. You only need an oz per to exceed your goal so they dont need to be to big. are you vegging for 24/0?

Very nice setup. Are you using Foxfarm ferts too? Their tiger bloom is amazing when used with the big bloom. I haven't used their soil, but I am sure it is top of the line too.

HI, the set up looks very cool but in my opinion you may run into some problems when using different strains. They all have different needs as ph and nutes strenght and being in one bed its hard to please them all. This set up is good for clones from 1 mother.

Good luck!

I agree, I also would not keep MOMS in the same growing container.

The point to having a Mother is a self contained plant that continues to be in vegative growth for several months if not several years. This requires constant re-potting and some root-pruning, which is not possible with your current setup.

John Cutter- thats what I was thinking but the sweet island skunk Im growing stretches like crazy and last year got 10 ounces of her flowered at 18 inches but ended 6 feet so im in sort of a pickle I anticipated that tho so I planted them at the end of the bed to be ready

Mist- thank you I have the whole Fox Farm line up and been using them for about five years and it does wonders for me and I dont ever have to worry bout over-fert last run I went Adanced Nutes and it was great but to pricey and to many additives needed for me to get the whole Advantage I like Fox Farms soil to because of the castings thats in it so I barely have to use nutes in veg this time in the beds I didnt use any nutes for veg

loko17- I agree with what your saying I was thinking bout that when I picked up the clones I was thinking I should get all of the same strain but thought I might not even like growing in beds so Ima try it this once and if its good for me then go from there and I picked so many different cuts to see which ones would perform the best being grown this way. I always grow different strains and always PH my water to 5.8 and feed on the low end nute wise anyway so I think I'll be alright I hope I will at least

since you are using organics , can you keep reusing the soil over and over?
