also what is the pump schedule like on that system?

link me the the context of that picture - thing is, I have a 2007 homebox which I am pretty sure is all pvc, and I don't have these kinds of problems for 6-8 grows. *Maybe* in this last grow I had some issues in mid flower with top leaves yellowing, but I might have let the N too low, maybe EC go too high (ph too low) and also my lamps reflectors are now two inches from the walls to where the walls are browning in this last grow. The idea that there is an endless supply of toxic gas coming off a tent is a stretch IMO. does it smell like plastic/"new shower liner" in there? And if you put your nose to the floor is that in fact the plastic smell (i.e. it is not just the abs plastic of your system under the lights)

The pump is on 24/7. Seems to work the best for this particular system from what I've gathered.

For my first 0.4 Res I needed 13 ml to bring it from 7 to 6.

The yellow ones from the first pictures are still yellow or even yellower.
Its essentially 12 plants total, 4 jacks and 3 Widows as well as 5 other small plants.. All the widows are yellow , the jacks seem to be hanging in there although they are also yellow. The smaller plants are starting to yellow a bit as well. They small ones seem to be growing slightly- mostly roots.

I have added 2 liters fresh water , should have added nutes in the addback water though, right ? Ec stayed the same...

i dunno - maybe it is the pvc floor and I don't really have a pvc tent, cause this situation is not really making sense - if you were going to take it out, go ahead, can't hurt, although you may want to build in some other liner before you flower and plants are too big

Is the problem still centered on the new growth? It should maybe be neon yellow in the center newest growth, but transitioning to green, as seen in these attachments I just took from my backyard (ignore the fungus spots). But not inverted like in your original pictures - i.e. loosing color to the edges.

centering I mean if you are going to flower from 6pm to 6am, the center is 12am, so your four hour dark period would be from 10p-2a

I didn't take into account your mylar walls either - reflecting 97% of radiant heat down to the floor eventually. The floor which is known to be PVC. Yeah, get that thing out of there.

And dude at the link seems to think that homeboxes were never pvc so I would not have seen this problem...

also do me a favor run your next plain water addback (tomorrow or now if you have capacity) straight through the hydroton of the worst plants. Just in case there is residual ph down. Pour slow though so it has time to soak up whatever is in the hydroton.

To answer you question earlier, you would not add nutes if your EC stays the same - only if it drops below target. But 2 more liters of plain water tomorrow isn't going to fudge your EC by more than .05

Yes the problem is still centered around the new growth but spreading out into the leaves.
Still inverted.

You are right , it could possibly be residual Ph down from my first res.
Didn't wash the hydroton after that first botched res.

It will be hard to remove that liner , he he- better now then later though.
So , I'll remove the liner - run plain water through the hydroton and see what happens.

Man , I hope its either one of those.

edit- Just to be clear , I dont "know" that the floor is pvc , but its the white plastic...probably pvc.
I'll need to remove the liner tomorrow, need a couple more hands.

The more i research off-gassing , the more it seems to be the cause.
At least the pictures look exactly like my plants.

Liner removed - Hydroton slowly flushed with plain water - 2 liters.
As a bonus the tent lit up by just a notch , revealing the bottom mylar.

Cant wait to see if this is it.--

Dont see real any changes yet.

EDIT: 2 days since i removed the bottom liner - plants are looking better. Turning green again, although very slowly.
Some might not recover at all.

Now , I'm thinking - how do i go about screaming at the Hydro store guy?
Its serious stuff to sell people something made for growing organic food that´s actually poisonous.
I´ll give it a couple more days before I can say for sure that its the bottom liner- sure looks like it though.
