What's new

You + DWC + your yeild results (be honest please)

Hi there,

I'm just curious what other growers from around the planet are yielding using a similar system to mine. I'm doing a RDWC system, I stay pretty on top of PPM and PH readings. I don't use co2, just air in/out system for cooling. I use the two part Lucas formula for veg and flower. This will be my second harvest, and I'm expecting it to do worse than the first harvest as I got my first experience with root rot and very very warm temperatures.

The first harvest I yielded about 1.25lb/1kw and had a plethora of problems. I use old ballasts and bulbs too.

So lets hear about your DWC system, your gear and your results. Thanks guys. Please be honest, I want to know how I can improve.

Also, my strain is PK.

New bulbs pay for themselves, plain and simple.

I've heard many say that to me, but I've also heard people say that not all strains love intense light. My strain being one of them, so what good is having a super lumen outputting light if my plants wants 2 feet of distance from the bulb?

buy the hortilux eye hps and dont buy the hortilux super hps and 2 ft seems to be the norm for 1k for me.
Well first run with 12 plants a little root rot and 2k I got a little over 1000 grams dried. I should of gotten a lot more but 2 of the bigger plants just simply died off. This run I have a chiller and no root rot running 10 church clones Im not sure of yield but I'll be able to tell ya in a few days it looks to be at least 2.5#s may be more. I do have 4 plants in hempy buckets under 1k by themselves that are gonna way out yield the rdwc because of light penetrating all the way through the plants. Check out my current grow in my sig you'll see what I mean. I think I could yield a shit load more if I space em out better(for this strain) there pretty cramped.

ran a 12 under 2k and now 24 under 4k,

On the 12 I would pull 48+ on a good run, same nutes, flornova bloom and grow. Air cooled hoods no co2

gimme a couple months I will tell you how 24 goes :)

yes about 4.25 ounces per plant, I know its not the best but not bad, 1.5lb per light, I will get more with my genetics I have now.

Any plant wipes there nose on your punny 1000w new bulb or not. When you can get brighter than the sun then you worry about to much light.

I am moving from the sand lot to simi pro (or hope to at least). My San Fran buddy say's I'm still small time even after my upgrade. But my last run was 14.75oz per plant 4 Purple Kush in 5 gal buckets. I have 8 more buckets going under 4 1Kws, but my runs after that will be in 8gal UC systems. I am going to start rocking it. Check out the thread in my sig.

Peace, :joint:

So what was your total lb/kw rating?

That run was 59oz or 1.675KG and I ran them with 4 x 750 (3Kw total) digital lumatek ballasts. As I said I'm going to be much better in the future.

Before white lightning was my drug of choice, and she still is my number one yeilder, for right now that is. She is the orginal 1990's Marc Emery white lightning, NL#5 x white widow, I wish I would have not erased all my pictures months ago with a security scare, buds the size of leg from waist down to my toes. In the past, i was searchign for good genetics loacally, I had some not so good quality and quantity wise comapred to everything else with hash plant and skunk.

Now i have:

white lightning
ak47-unknown breeder
ak47-serious seeds
mental floss-Chimera
schnazzleberry #2-Chimera

I am growing out packs of beans atm and in the process of selecting mothers.

Sweet info. Thanks for sharing guys. From what I gather I'm on the right track with lots of room for improvement.
