Poll: will my plants be alive?

So I am going back home monday, left Monday last. 7 days total. I left clay spikes with water bottles, but the only thing that fit under the trellis was a water bottle like they sell in machines. My flowering plant had a different kind of spike, this one with a membrane that regulates drip, about same volume. I took out 2 of the 6 42 watt bulbs in the flowering cab.

Let's take some friendly bets.

I don't wanna jinx your grow so I'll go WAY OUT on a limb and YES they're still alive but get home quick!!!!!

And where's the POLL?

Yup, you can do a poll. I don't know how, but I've seen them.

Hope you feel better. I'm sure your plants will be fine. I've been in the same situation a few times. You gotta just not think about it. You did what you could and hope it's enough. No sense worrying about what you have no control over. I know it tough but don't let it mess up your trip. L8R SK8R

depends on how big the plants are. i bet you wish you had some terra preta soil mix, holds water like a mofo.

Just in case they are not, cut some clones, put them in a polythene bag and seal it shut with some air (don't breath IMO - moisture in your breath can promote mold), then put that in the crisper draw in the fridge. Should the worst come to the worst, you will have backups waiting for you when you get back. Enjoy your trip mary :)

Damn wish I thought of that before I left. Great idea. I did leave a blue Burmese mother with a neighbor, as a gift but with understanding I would get cuttings.

They made it!

Very stressed but still alive. Interesting that plant mass under the screen went first. Very logical.

lol wish I could, but i got bills to pay. I will be looking more into self watering techniques, since I have to travel so much. I did notice the two systems I used performed very differently, with one brand running out much faster than the other. The kind with the thin film instead of clay was the slower of the two.

yay!

ive done a week a couple of times with a big tray under the pots filled with water in my flowering cab, and a windowsill auto waterer capillary matting type tray for my mums.

i'm thinking I may be able to just fill up my rubbermaids with water and pebbles... It would lift up the pots a bit but I have plenty of room between scrog and light. It's just cfl's.

though I gotta say the flowering blue burmese is fucking beautiful. the aromas are getting complex. i'm amazed the plant can pull that off with cfl's.
