Fertilization to viable seed ~ how long ?

I have looked for information on the length of time a seed needs to become viable and haven't found my answer so, I thought I would ask.
The reason I'm asking is due to the female being about 2-3 weeks away from finishing and I just got some male pollen.
Is it too late to apply the pollen and expect any viable seeds?
How long does it take a seed to become viable once the female is pollinated?
I realize this question would be a mute point if both plants were the same age, as you would just harvest the bud when ready.

It takes 4 to 5 weeks to make good viable seeds from point of pollonation

Mine take around 40 days. Remember that males mature faster in general, some males faster than others. Some release pollen weeks before females are ready. The idea being whenever a female is ready, there's a flowering male already there.

I wont say it wont work but, its not the way mother nature does it.

whack the pollen on the popcorn buds, save the topps for consumption

no reason i can see not to make seeds. make your seeds on a lower branch that can be left after harvesting. the plant will not just die if its nurturing seeds. just leave the lights on schedule for her to finish up. maybe a little extra N after harvest to give her a boost

Thanks everyone, I'll paint some lower buds and see if I can get some seeds.

The cross would be "Master Kush x Skunk1" x Nepali
I'll let you know if I'm successful !
I'll save some pollen for when I get a female Nepali or Ethiopian but,
I thought why not try this cross as long as I have a ready female.
