... you realize that growing high quality bud, thousands of days consecutively, will provide many interesting experiences and offer important lessons.

Notice I said, "offer important lessons"? Not everyone accepts lessons offered. And that's cool... but the best smoke is always grown by people who accept as much wisdom from the experiences offered by this plant as they can possibly accept.

Anyhow, I have an idea to share what I've learned in a fun way, for me anyway. :)

I'll post up old ICMag pictures of my plants, all the way back to 2004, and talk about the plant, the lessons likely learned with that crop, etc.

Sour Diesel clone. NOT what you'd expect, right?
Well, this is what most strains tend to do when subjected to an unbalanced hydroponics system. These results remind me of a plant growing extremely fast, that was also negatively effected by some serious deficiency or root problem. This is a plant that grew very fast in one direction, and was slowed by another factor. Lots of potential, but not properly dialed in.

This was grown in an orange Home Depot bucket with an airstone, DWC style. You'll see a lot of DWC plants looking similar to this freak.

AK 47

AK 47

I was never too impressed with this stuff. Nice looking, but entirely generic in smell/taste and high. At the time, however, AK was very highly regarded. I was looking for the prized Cherry phenotype. Never found it. But that's okay, as we now know, there's PLENTY of killer stuff outside of the Amsterdam scene. ;)

For the sake of history... AK 47. :)

WidowGum (Sharon White Widow x Bogglegum)

WidowGum (Sharon White Widow x Bogglegum)

I made a few beans for fun. The result was WidowGum. And she was very good pot. The punch of the Sharon Widow crossed to the bulk and good structure of the Bogglegum. It was good. :)

This plant was most likely grown in a soil-less medium, with organic liquid fertilizers. A very common way for me to grow at that time.

Double Sour Diesel

Double Sour Diesel

Rez gave me a pack of these just before I got the Sour Diesel clone. I grew them almost immediately to find out what the Diesel craze was all about.

This plant turned out not to be too much like the Sour Diesel clone, but it was still very good pot and very yieldy. A sister to this plant (which I'm not sure I have a picture of still) was one of the most resinous plants I've grown to date. You couldn't handle a bud without coating surfaces with snow! :) I never saw a better hash plant.

Let's get to the infamous Sharon White Widow

Let's get to the infamous Sharon White Widow

I had a long and sorted relationship with Sharon Widow. Lonestar, of Texas Resin Company, gave me this clone probably back in 2002 or so. There is nothing good about this plant except the potency... taste's not bad either... but it's the high.

Not easy to clone, a fairly shitty growth structure, rubbery and weak branches, just not a pleasure to take care of.

But that high! Oh, that high. Very potent stuff.

Lonestar found Sharon is a pack of White Widow... when he first smoked it and learned of it's potency, the comment was made, "well smack my face and call me Sharon!". The name stuck.

Not the most beautiful plant, especially with my old, less-than-professional cameras... but this is her:

The variegated version of Sharon (one plant only)

Here's the afore-mentioned super resinous DSD

Here's the afore-mentioned super resinous DSD

This was one of the best resin producers ever. Therse are NOT those false resins that LOOK frosty, but dry up to be less than impressive... These resins are sticky, thick, almost dry-feeling even as the plant grows, and very serious business.

Double Sour Diesel. Just incredibly good pot.
