Bud blood question

Hey guys I just switched to 12 hours today...they have been vegging for about 3 weeks now. I'm using canna nutrients but wanted to try advanced nutrients bud blood...I added the bud blood already...should I have waited to see buds first? This is bothering me.

A high pk boost like 0-39-20 or whatever is a total waste 1st week unless you have a serious stretchy pheno. boosters shouldnt be used until after at least the 3rd week with most strains. Boosters that are nothing more than salts and chelators (nitrates/sulphates/phosphates) that just mess up your NPK values. My bro used to work for AN and did side by sides with bud blood and without. bud blood usually stunted growth and matured plants as much as 2 weeks faster than just using a base and some humics. Yeilds suffered, plants looked like shit 3 weeks in and never really came out of it. I love big bud as it has L-Amino acids and tons of magnesium, but its the only AN product I would be really dissapointed losing if they stopped production. its total hype.

I dont see what flushin it out is gonna do for you. salt ferts are chelated to be immediately available to your plants. its already there. just roll with it. at least it will come down that much faster so you can try it again without and see the difference. just please tell me you didn't use it at the recommended dosage...

Yes I used the reccomended dosage. I did not know any better. Next time I'll go without it all together. I'm tired of advanced nutrients and the drama it brings.

I think your getting bud blood confused with big bud. Bud blood is only to be used at the beginning of the flowering.

uuh so which product is crap now, bud blood or big bud?
bud blood is for first weeks of flower, big bud is bud stimulator afaik.

never mind i should read properly. so big bud is the only product from AN you would recommend?

buddy of mine swears on big bud too, he keeps raving about AN and i was about to get a fertilizer pack from them actually. maybe you can elaborate a bit more on your experience with AN that would be cool.

Ask toohighmf. he used to be an AN tech rep for one of the distributors, and used to help moderate the AN forums back when. He drove around different parts of the country showing people how to use the stuff in any medium, as not specified on the bottle. apparently, the 2+ program is not to be run in certain mediums, and most bottle instructions recommend using 2-3 times whats needed. There were a lot of "secrets" about AN's poor business practice, and how they dubbed other products to make their line. I know voodoo juice (enzematic septic tank cleaner), scorpion juice (Aspirin), Big bud, P&T etc. are AN designed products. I also know that bud blood is Rambridges "DRY FLOWERS", Sensi AB is the same formula as SBA-B, and their 3 part is poor copy of GH flora series 3 part. Connoisseur was stolen from Dutchmaster and reformulated. it appears they can't quite keep the batches consistant with any of their products except the ones other chem labs manufacture for them, like barricade which is just 100% potassium silicate, and their PH adjustment products are in pure form as well. everything else has been changed up to bud candy, and rhino skin... they pretty much figured out how to be as cheap as they be and charge 30% more than most other co's stuff because it is supposedly cannabis specific. Bud blood is not crap. its not directed to be used properly. thats all. again, you should ask toohigh, he dropped science on me about those assholes long ago, and when I go the store with him and we read the new bottles he chuckles and nods his head..

You are my hero!! I wasted $500 on their junk and spent a couple of hours a week playing chemist. I actually had a calculator, notepad, pipet, measuring cup and maybe a couple of other doo-dads on hand to do the chemistry. Then one of the mods on another forum turned me on to Iconic; he's a professional grower in Holland. I had *much* better results with Iconic and it was a simple one shot forumla; one for veg and one for flowering. I'm using Dutch Master now because Iconic is hard to get for me. It's still a simple veg / bloom formula like Iconic. Advanced Nutrients SUCKS.

wow guys all i heard uptoday was that AN is the be all end all of fertilizer and the best you can get, breeders like sagarmartha use only AN and like i mentioned a friend who keeps raving about them and pushing me to try it out.

i was close to dropping 120 bucks on a starter kit, guess ill stick to good ol bio bizz

Another question, do I need to change my resevoir after 1 week? Or do I simply not add anymore bud blood? It would be a bummer to waste good (expensive) nutes.

only the plants can dictate their needs. not the res. If your plants are drinking up nutrient faster than water, then you can go a few more days. I was instructed long ago to top off my res after every couple of days every week to 10 days, and bring it down low enough to just pump out the remaining few gallons and repeat back to higher ppms and repeat. I like 10 day weeks. maybe its totally psychological, butit seems like 6-7 10 say weeks goes faster than 8-9 real weeks. seems to work for me. I would get some floranova bloom & Calmag and be done with it personally. its easy n cheap. its super simple. your not adding a bunch of stuff to the res and trouble shooting what products may be giving you adverse effects. Its PH buffered so you just add your 5-10ml/gallon of each product and you just saved yourself about $400 & probably upped your yield and overall quality by at least 20%.
