pretty sure you can only get the correct ones from USA, and from what i have read then there are issues over safety if you use the incorrect ones. if a few of us requested them from a decent hydro shop - maybe greens horticulture? - then mayve they would stock them ??

i would like to try them myself too

I run a 250 CMH in my clone/ mother room. Had to order it from the good ol US of A. Think it was from a company called advancetech or something, check cmh thread in growroom design section. Been running on a standard hps ballast for 12 months no problems.

I'm with you cork bro, asked about on here before too, but no joy. Sucks having to pay once for the bulb, and the price of the bulb again for the shipping from the US.

Do you notice an advantage? was going to buy a MH to support my HPS but if CMH is better I may bite the bullet and order from the states.

Supposedly decreases internode length and produces more foliage (see cmh thread). Have noticed some increase in bushyness, and temps tend to be a degree or two lower than the HPS i ran before. Is it worth the extra moola? Yes i think so.

Got to say i am happy with mine smiler.

Oh.. 1 other thing, I'm running a 400 cool tube, is the bulb roughly the same size as HPS?

Dont have 250 HPS anymore to make comparison. It is a bit shorter and a bit fatter than a sunmaster 600W HPS if that helps. Gives a very white light in comparison to HPS.

No probs perp, how do you occupy your mind while waiting for the cure, I have problems, have yet to wait for a proper cure, need to grow bigger quantities, only hope I have.

I have the same problem smiler, smoked it all before it has a chance to cure. Will have to be more disciplined and tuck a bit away this time round.

Hazy- dont think they are the right sort of CMH bulbs. The ones we are after look just like a normal HID bulb.

Have requested more info from philips about UK/Euro supplier, and am waiting for a call back.

Reply from Phillips - CMH bulbs

Reply from Phillips - CMH bulbs

Here's the reply I got from Philips, not sure if its good or not, need to digest and understand the info.

Thank you for contacting Philips regarding your .

In the UK we have a product that has the same spectrum and lumen per watt as the mastercolour HPS.
On the following website you can find the specs of the greenpower lamps.

I hope I have answered your question satisfactorily. If you have any further enquiries into this matter, please contact us and refer to your case number PHL-090822-0012

I've now swapped to envirolites (Blue Spectrum) for rooting and some veg. Excellent results. Then 600W growlux for flowering.

After a six week wait for a call back, I called philips yesterday, to be told the enquiry was closed. :wallbash: So again waiting for the "professional" department to get back to me about UK supplier. Its like they dont want anyone to know about this bulb:abduct:.
