What car,bus or bike from the 50's,60's or 70's really was a good memory of the past. my dad had a 1970 Buick skylark gsx .this car was nice on the eye and super fast.remember he would tape a 100 dollar bill on the dash and tell me.if i could grab it after take off ,it was mine.never got it. also remember a VW bus that we took family trips to the mountains. '69 Nova / 350 target with a 4 bolt main that I put in it. Loved that car, hated the ex that totalled it. May she burn in hell for eternity and a day. One quick sumbitch.

When I was a kid my dad had a 1964 Cadillac ElDorado Biarritz convertible in jet black. Thing had to be 25 feet long, with a 500CID V8. Not a quick car, but definitely immensely powerful, and just try to find something with more sheer boulevard style than a '64 Eldo droptop!

Hi Guys,
I have a soft spot for the vehicle that I learned to drive in...a 1957 Nash Ambassador Turquoise and White. Had a big V8 and three on the tree. Best part was it had fold-back seats which was great for dates. It was a real boat but had a top speed over 100!

Had a few really decent rides.
1. Harley pan...'69 model custom hard tail, gold metal flake, coffin tank by Amen, rail front
end 1 1/2 over rake, king-queen seat...named BITCH...I ride alone.
2. Harley sportster...'74 model..ragged but party time.
3. 1976 Olds 'S', 454 implant, 4 speed floor shift, radar jammer, black light interior, chromium
steel spring suspension, switch adjustable air shocks all 4 wheels, balanced and
blueprinted, 650 horsepower....0 to 60 in 3.9 secs., dual compartment trunk over/
under style, chain steering wheel 10 inch, grey and blue interlace carpet, fawn
leather dual bucket captain seats, 1000 watt J&B stereo dual quad system(modified),
G70's front wheel 5 spoke mag, G60's rear wheel 5 spoke mag...killer transport!!!
Top speed 150 plus...clocked by friendly neighbor Hwy patrol who dealt for me at
162 on radar...I used to run a lil' contraband(whiskey, pot, pills).
Only got like 6 mpg, so I had a dual gas tank(100 gallon total) w/ reserve.
Fiberglass hood, front and rear panels...with kevlar padding inside door frames.
Tinted windows. Blackjack 2 1/2 inch headers, with turbo cut-out switches.

like I said, a few...I wont go into the '60s or '50s...too far back for most to remember
all the chevy '57s or buick V8's.
loved em all like they wuz my babies too....

sorci,
You must mean top speed over 150...no sense in getting too carried away in your story telling. Better correct that. Or did you live on the Bonneville salt flats. lol

In 1965 Ex US Army Harley Davidson 45's were going for the price of a 1/4P, complete with spare new engine ...... some had sidecars with drive to the sidecar wheel ..... I must have had 5 altogether, left them all behind when I moved .... my first experience of the Harley suicide clutch

I had a bunch of classic Brit bikes, BSA Gold Star, Triumph Bonneville, Norton Dominator, etc then some Italian machines, Bianchi, Moto Guzzi, Benelli, which were like Ferraris, when they ran well they were great but incredibly unreliable, really fast but appalling electrics, doing 90 mph with an orange 6volt headlight takes some nerve

My first ride was a 1964 Ford Galaxy 2door, 289 w/ 3 speed manual on the column.
Pear white w/ red leather interior.

I had a choice 1965 Imapala SS, 283 w/2 speed powerglide auto on the floor.

I miss my 1975 Kaw Z1 900. Last of the Z1 engines before the switch to KZ.
