highest wattage you would go with for an all utilities included apartment(1 bedroom)

I just wanted to point out since it seems like some of you missed it that movingtocally said he is in a utilities included apartment, meaning that the electric bill and water bill go to the landlord. From that perspective, I would think you'd want to be just a little more careful about usage, since you don't want an irritated landlord coming knocking, wanting to set up an appointment for an energy usage audit or something like that.

heh...

3 1Ks plus 2 400Ws and all the assorted power sources to keep it all functioning.

Figure about 50 KW a day just for growing. Another 15-25KW for living...gawd bless 'free' electricity.

Previous to this grow-op I ran the stove 24/7 for extra heat and baked constantly plus ran the base heaters 24/7 with open windows for fresh air so I've conditioned my usage pattern as a power pig for over a year before i started hardcore.

Basically partitioned 1/2 the bedroom into a grow factory and have enough space on the other side for a queen sized bed and nothing else :joint:

Hardest part was mapping my electrical circuits, I've got 6 and am using 4 exclusively for the OP...snaked extension cords through drywall and under carpets to keep it all looking like a home.

Shit dude, anything under 2K and no one would even dream your running lights to grow MJ unless they smell, see or hear it running.

if it was me and i had the space. 5 by ten tent, 2-3 digital 600w air cooled hps, a/c and dehu and co2 if you plan right, should keep you very safe(with leo) with a bountiful productive space. the ballasts use like 2.75 amps at 240. with everything running 12/12( for the most part(veg with 1 bulb 24/7 swtching ballasts every 2-12 hrs). should be siitting at 100 a month, i dont know how much you pay per kilo watt ?

@hydrosun where did imply that? I said if they are checking ( assuming they have a warrant to flir the house and pull power ), the flir reading is subjective, they can just say $100 a month is "double your neighbors" or make up some crap in court is all I'm saying. of course they need the flir to be warranted or the power pulling to have a warrant in order to submit in court.

And as far as the landlord thing if he came knocking offer to pay the bill and say youre hosting game servers for your counter strike clan, all the sudden his monthly in pocket wealth increased and he doesnt give 2 shits about your plants ;-)
