this harvest, some things went has planned some didn't...
some of my plants finished earlier and i still needed to keep it going on for 3 other plants (1 NYCD and 2 Sogouda)
another 4/5 weeks, but in the end of this last month I changed house, so i had a hard decision to make, I choose the easiest one.. harvest all
i'm only sad with the NYCD she could gone easy another month before harvest and the sogoudas as well (2 weeks +)
but in average 70 days for all the others was ok...
as i once told somewhere (probably here), I aim for taste, then potency
(of course i don't mind both...) the thing is that i just love the smell and taste of burning/smoking cannabis
and the scent that it leaves after burning (yes that heavy dank unmistakable smell) ...it's just peaches for me
now about the smoke... report... (not very good at this but i'm gonna try)
--with a 2 weeks cure in glass jars--
so,
the best tasting is the sogouda #2 (the topped one) you almost get high just from opening the jar,
the taste is the most 'active' one for now really amazing, my guess for this pheno it would be the cheese/g13haze,
basically ... Soma knows the job and for that i deeply thank him
the other gouda I still feel that it's gonna get better with time, i wrote down some posts ago that this pheno seemed to had some blueberry
with something else i can define for know, so i still hope flavors will be improve on this one, but is excellent... both my gouda's phenos are 5 stars
... both just needed another 2 weeks more to get fatter colas..
because i was so impressed with this strain i'm going to do another run with them again... this time with a new set up and until
they are finished... no early harvest's lol
even so i ended up with some fat and hard nugs
the Skunk Diesel never stopped to amazed me, first, because it's my first homemade cross, which it made me very proud,
second, because it was the stickiest and stinkiest of all my plants,
the flavor comes from the mom (i remember the taste of that skunk, it was sweet),and to be honest i don't know
what it got from the NYCD dad ( but I also don't know shit about Breeding, still learning the other 99% of information
concerning breeding
) maybe it's not expressed trough the phenotype... i dunno but it's not important for me anyway...
just sharing some thoughts... lol
but yeahhh i love this skunk diesel with some purple undertones and fat colas, sticky wicky and sweet like candy
the 'mystery' too make the story short, it was my first seed purchase online,
supposly this strain is NYC diesel, in the meanwhile I went in a business trip to Amsterdam and bought some 'legit' Soma's NYCD seeds
(my previous run)
but since i had them on the fridge getting dust i decided to germ and see what it would come out of it, I always knew it wasn't NYCD
but there is only one way to know for sure...
it didn't come nycd but it come out a not bad at all weed that smokes very well...and it makes me write! (yep i'm smoking some of this right know)
deff. a nice head high with a nice buzz, the taste it's neutral (can I use this word, not sure very well how to describe)
it has a very nice 'bag appeal' compact and dense buds filled with trichomes
the Sour Diesel BX 1.5 x ChemdogDD, the most amazing pheno of all the plants i had, another thing is i took her right on the perfect time!
10 weeks worked great for her, some folks told it could go another week or so and i agree but 70 days was right on the spot for me
(luckly...cause i had i hopes on this one!) after all it's my first reservoir run... (thank you BM) and she treated me back very well
my first guess is that it will be the first jar to get empty (feel free to wonder why, because myself and I are doing the same thing!!)
but i guess it kinda says it all
i love it... i must get a grip on myself not to to smoke it all...really...
(maybe another day i do a more detailed report) really hard for me to express in words some tastes!
the nycd...
well there's always a next time (even so the herb is better smoke than tobacco, for joints) maybe i will do some bubblehash later

Well I was right. Those Skunk Diesels did look amazing. They looked so greasy sticky icky. I bet that F2s from those would have been incredible. In F2s you get much more phenotypic variation.
