I am not even sure what to watch(Smell) for... Right now, 15 days into flowering, my 2 LR#2's started to have a slight mint/Pine kind of smell.. But it's not real Strong right now.. Is what I am smelling the smell and will it increase.???

Smells kind of good and natural... Really reminds me of a mint plant my aunt use to have.. Taste like mint too(I eat a few of the yellow bottom leaves)

"Napalm, son. Nothing else in the world smells like that. I love the smell of napalm in the morning. You know, one time we had a hill bombed, for 12 hours. When it was all over, I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' dink body. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like victory. Someday this war's gonna end..."

hehe, CC. I think I've become immune to the smell of fresh growing cannabis to some degree. Especially when you're smelling it all the time. I think it's like this; your own grow tends to smell less dank to you than to others, so it's a good idea to ask your friends opinions when they come over.

The scent will develop with age. As the plant matures into flowering it generates the natural essential oils that we associate with cannabis. It is normal for plants to smell little beofre 30days flowering / 12/12.

Keep rubbing the base of the stems daily to see what flavours your plant generates. All the best :D

You want to be careful. I was caught by surprise a few times when I thought the strain wasn't going to smell too much. I woke up and couldn't believe the smell. Literally over night it had taken my house over, and these were two autoflowering plants too. IMO, odour control is a must. I would rather have odour control, than be caught be surprise like I've been before.

Plants will stink the most their genetics will allow, when they're really happy about their growing environment.

Stressed plants don't usually smell anywhere near as strongly as happy ones. I've noticed a slightly stronger aroma with the FloraNova, vs the 3-part as well. :D

Kizzattack is right, the smell doesn't gradually appear. It hits you in the face like a visit from your bad uncle.

The smell can be unoffensive and still give you away. Not all strains have the classic road kill stank but most have an underlying funk that can only be described as (insert favorite word for pot.)

There are a few great DIY carbon scrubber tutorials here. Some are small and inexpensive and others tackle the large odors.

what precautions were taken befor hand?
do you have any kind of odor control?
this is on the top 3 reasons why people get popped. even if your legal, like me, you dont want anyone knowing no matter what. take a lesson man. next time be ready. go out now and take care of this because it will infact get MUCH stronger.

I'm with Mr. G., I can't smell it anymore. But I'm around it a lot, and have been for a long time. My girlfriend tells me when I need a new filter, it usually goes like this "This place stinks like pot!!!". But I personally only smell a hint of it.

Do you guys who use scrubbers keep your inline fans extracting air 24/7?

I just figured I'd have it go off at the lights out period with a small fan left blowing on the inside. It stinks up that room at lights off, does smell generally pose a security risk that warrants the fan and scrubber to be working 24/7?
