Yesterday police stopped me...

I am going to a friend's house, she wanted me to go buy her a quarter on the way, sure, I am driving to her place, and passing through the forest, I pass a stop.

Couple minutes later, I see blue and red lights in my rear view mirror.

oh noes!

I had her weed in my pocket and had mine in the back of the seat.

Police officer comes up, has a look at my sticker on my window, thought he was looking at my tinted windows. I tell him, I got stopped recently for the tinted windows, and they let me be. He tells me, you think this is why I stopped you ? I tell him uh i'm not sure really. So I ask him why ?
He tells me I didn't do my stop, wich I say I did, he said I didn't stop long enough I didn't believe it.

So he goes to his car, comes back.

And I give him the, I am really brought down by this look, like hanging on my window with a sad face lol.

So he tells me, you know you would get a 140$ ticket for this.
(Then I couldn't believe It, it couldn't be possible I think)

He tells me I should do my stops, he says he's looking for drunk drivers, he asks me if I drank, I look at him, tell him no.

He says, then go! smiling
I look at him, he was in a good mood, I give him my hand, I tell him, you don't look like a bad guy, thanks!

I couldn't believe it. wow. I thought my night was gonna be fucked, and I'm leaving on a big trip accross the province monday, so I would be cut back on funds

...

There is some good left in the world, even in the police

Last time I got stopped by police, the 2 police guys scanned inside of my car as they came up to me, then they tell me my tires are finished, I could get a fine, and that my windows are tinted. I tell them I bought the car like that. He asks me if i'm going to school, I say yeah, studying ******
oh really, that's nice

So he says he could give me a ticket

I look him in the eyes, I tell him, I don't have a lot of money, and i'm a good guy.

He looks at me, tells me to go on my way, this was after I Was smoking in the park with my pipe before school (I thought that's why they came up to me, I was so stoned/shocked)

Good things happened to me
I felt like sharing them

Leaving monday on a big trip, enjoying the vacation I am blessed to be able to take, before going through another year of school, hoping I find some peace of mind

cop was looking for REAL criminals you got off easy imo,just like any law bitting citizen . I say fight the ticket it may get thrown out, at the very worse you will waste a day at court and have to pay the ticket any way.(im assuming your in the us)

Only time I ever got pulled over I was heading home form college at 2am (Less traffic on interstate) I was up all night smoking some potent homegrown with a huge nugget of it under my seat as a birthday present to a family member. Cop runs my license sees i'm not some drunk just a dumb college kid and sends me on my way.

Cops can smell fear and once they get a whiff they won't stop till they get you.

I'm not buying that for a second. In all my years I've only met one cop that was less than perfectly polite and that includes the ones who thought I was an armed robber. You go out of your way to act like ... well, you, and you have to expect grief.

Yup I agree I have had a few run ins, and I have never been made to feel inferior or scared. They were always polite and nice, including the American ones I have encountered

i never did! i hated them as a child cause they always took my dad to jail, that was back when no matter what daddy did he was still a hero in my eyes.... what i wouldnt give to be five again.....

I'm w/FreezerBoy & Dr Dog on this one, I've had cops cut me enormous amounts of slack for the most part, even to the point of leaving me w/my weed instead of taking it & busting/fining me.

We can all be outraged by 'bad cop' stories & rightfully so, I for one treat them with deserved respect and have been afforded the same in return by them.

I was pulled over for speeding in and out of traffic by a ghost car. i was wearing a tshirt with a pot leaf and "live high, die laughing" slogan across my chest. the cop comes up to my window and tells me that he should be towing me for street racing. i guess he meant racing myself, cause there was no one with me!!!! LOL i told him i was late for work. my glove box was wide open, as i was fishing out my matthew good cd that i had in there, along with my papers for the car. i give him my registration, insurance, and license. he asks me if I have any marijuana or drugs and I look him in the eye and tell him no, I don't do drugs. he goes to his cruiser, and comes back in like 3 minutes, gives me back everything and says have a good day, consider this a warning.
all the while I had some stinky buds in an advil bottle in the center console, along with a big sweet leaf grinder and papers.
also there was this old woman who randomly yelled "good job, take him off the street" that walked by randomly. i was doing maybe 20k over, and some spirited driving.

i love the cops thave let me of with 2 speeding tickets 58 in a 30 and 78 in a 50 .....
o and i had to cops come in and bust me a betting shop with half a joint of trainwreck (stinking) undercover were in there..you should of seen them thay thought thay were getting a nice little bust...i pulled out half a joint and said thats it boys..thay look at each other then said to me shit man thats stinking laughing,,thay then patted me down...had a bit of a laught and a joke with them, then i got sent on my way.......oh and my bet never came in ......

not all cops are badass, treat them with raspect and manners and most will give the same back..then again i bet there not all good ,,,,, as a younger lad i had my fare sare of slaps ...
