Johnnyla has got the right idea here. George Orwell warned us when he wrote 1984. That book is more real than ever in this day and age. This whole party business means nothing because there is only one: The Party. Remember what Orwell wrote about the Thought Police? Am I not mistaken that Democrats want to get ride of talk radio entirely? I see a connection between these things, and it is very flagrant.

I would focus on preserving the most important thing this country has, and that is The Constitution. Know it, learn it, understand it as well as you can. Once you know pass it on. That document is all there is, and these liars, excuse me I mean politicians, have the document in their sights.

There was once a time when the term "Give me liberty or give me death" meant something....

Ya the basic idea is to make it more accessible to more people, I am sure just on these boards that you could get 1 person from each state, that understands that this is a maybe year or so out plan, that person or persons could pick a place, and recruit others to commit to showing up on said date knowing that this is happening in every state. The original recruiters could maybe just keep a tally, no names, and update on committed numbers during the build up, and others could see the progress like a telathon. Then, on date certain, every individual that has committed to being there, shows up. Something like that anyway, although surely this has been done before no? Another issue would be that people would have to understand the laws in their state for possession, as well as the penalties. When people commit, this could be available information to them, people have to realize that people will likely face criminal prosecution, and that has to happen. While most would likely not. But it puts alot of accountability on the individual and gives the individual easy means and access to participate. All it would take is to start brainstorming, put a plan together, pull the trigger. Our forums are invaluable and could be used for instant anonymous communication amongst organizers, for updating info, etc...
just something I have been thinking about ever since you have been talking about the smoke out.

another issue I forsee as an obstacle, here at least, is that participating in that would be a security breach for any grower, so for instance, myself, I would not chance it if I had a grow. Most of the very most passionate people about this also by no coincidence grow, just goes hand in hand. And it may be that the people that are the most devoted to this, already are growing, and the less reliable folks that would half ass it that may not be as devoted to this..
well you see what I mean I am sure. But yeah, something to consider. It just boggles the mind that w/ all this technology, communication, that something significant hasn't already happened.

glad to see you not bashing for the sake of bashing...thats a great idea! maybe start a growers union and have a war chest (talking high 7 figures) for legal fees and other adminastrative cost. if growers could all unite would be a beutifull thing...

IE2KS_KUSH- A growers union is a really good idea. I really really like that idea. pot growers need a powerful washington lobby. If we are gonna play in their game we gotta play by their rules.

Also good Martin Luther King Quote.

lol, yeah, the million pot head march on Washington.... i can see the msm headlines now... face it the media has made us into laughing stocks... i say the media but, we all have helped... with all the cheech and chongs, half baked, pineapple express movies.... all the drop out burnouts jeff spicolies, and snoop dogs... hahaha.... we all laugh at the stereotypes.. wake tf up! guess what our movement is a big joke to the rest of America! our image is shot, has been for a long time! we need an extreme makeover if were gonna get anywhere
but, most of you are in la la land, come on face the facts, they, the nwo, are not going to legalize marijuana...so quit ridein Obama pole, its not in the agenda... he has made that crystal clear...
but, the best we can hope for now would be a rescheduling of the drug...
that's what id be pushing for:2cents:

I would rather see it taken completely off the CSA, and treated like alcohol and tobacco. Moving to a sched 2 doesn't do a whole lot for the vast majority of folks that use cannabis. I mean, the DEA would not exactly just allow cocaine to be cultivated and manufactured by anyone that claims to use it for medical use, or even for anyone that has a legit doctor that prescribes it. I think you are right about the image and stereotypes that used against us. No doubt about it. Don't know about all the NWO stuff, as for Obama, I laugh at the thought that he would ever do anything to benefit us, never ever ever, never even considered it for a second. So far everything he has done has only confirmed what I predicted he would do before he was elected. I am sure from some of your posts you are probably there on the same page.
But all that is irrelevant really. It's not about Obama, or McCain, or Bush, or the next president. It comes back to us.

I really believe we have the power within us individually, to if we choose to, take action to launch a cannabis revolution. It's just a matter of time, and luck. Right now in American politics, all of the sudden, the people are getting much more attention from the media and lawmakers for a change, kinda. The people can affect direct change.

I have no idea what or how to do anything, but I bet 50 or so of us like minded folks that may or may not agree on things like global warming, abortion, gay marriage, healthcare, budget, military, etc...., could come together and start the ripple to eventually create a tidal wave. I believe this based on the folks that I have come to know here, I know the passion and motivation exists, no question.
Blah blah blah blah
And I can ramble on and on.....
I mean, we are here, talking to each other about it, so that's a start.

^word. To me it is clearly up to the people to take action if they want the government to get off their asses and move in the pot laws in the direction we want.

Now THIS kinda conversation is what I'm talking about!!!!!!!

I love how people are giving great, feasible ideas (well, some are) instead of the constant nay-say that I've been seeing on this site recently.....

We do need to do something about this ourselves because the politicians aren't going to take this issue up on their own. Last night I watched 2 republican Congressman make a joke on the Bill Maher show that they didn't want to talk about the drug debate because they wanted to get re-elected..... What does that tell you? It either shows: That they are not in touch with what the people who voted them in want; The people aren't telling their representatives what they really want; There are higher powers still trying to prevent legalization or taxing, regulating, and controlling (now we're talking the gov'ts language!). In my opinion, I think it is a combination of all of these factors! Unless a large mass of people SHOW or tell the politicians what we want, or better yet what we demand, the status quo will be maintained and we will continue to be frustrated with nothing to show for it!

I love the idea of a growers union as money and votes talk in Washington...... It seems to be the only language they understand! You see politicians switching parties or "teams" all the time because if they don't they will be removed from office (I can think of at least 2 examples in the last few years). So let's start talking their language, it's the only way we'll get our point across.

I also like the idea of people gathering throughout the US in cities in each state if possible. If we show that people from every major city are in support of this it may make it accessible to many more people. I read the thread about the Million man smoke out and it seemed people were having trouble taking time off work (for those who were still working) or couldn't travel to Washington to participate.

Piggybacking off the tea parties may be a great idea too, as long as everything is kept civil between the groups. It could also cause problems and get messages mixed up (anyone remember the WTO demonstrations in Seattle and how they trampled their constitutional rights?)

Thanks for everyone who is sharing ideas on how we can make a difference in this matter.... It's time we stop waiting for others to do something about this and take matters in our own hands!
