What this all comes down to is this.
Getting hurt in life sucks, sometimes sucks really really hard.
Some people grow up being abused, physically (being beat with a belt) or sexually, grow up without a mom or a dad, or grow up with addicts (alcoholics or drug addicts) as parents.
People in GENERAL go through major shit every day. Personally i grew up with a heroin addict as a father who stole my gameboys and nintendos my mother would work countless hours in the OR overtime just to buy me. But i loved him to death no matter what he did to me.
It made me a stronger person. To this day, i speak to my father who is in/out of being clean...i never know when he's using because he's became such a good con man over the years. It's depressing.
....Am i going to go out with guns and kill people to take out my bottled up rage? Of course not.
And for that, i thank the cannabis plant. The plant has shown me a new light...a way of peace....to understand the problem, rather than not understand it and act on pure emotion.
This guy obviously has some serious, serious mental issues. He may have been able to program in .NET and write a blog and come off as ordinary, but man in that guys head some major wars were being fought.
UNDERSTANDABLE. BUT; that does not give him the right WHAT SO EVER to take it out on ANY human being - family or not. Resolve your problems dude. Smoke some weed, have a drink, talk to a therapist. Get the fuck over your problems, and your own ego.
Sympathizing with the killer's problems is one thing, but sympathizing with him saying that you understand WHY he did what he did is pure bullshit. There was no excuse, and there's nothing in this world aside from a few certain cases that would ever be excused for a killing of another human being (that, unless, you were born in the area where blood diamonds are harvested and at age 2 you are handed an AK-47 and told to kill whatever comes your way your entire life and have no parents, no food, no religion, no help, no comfort, no joy, no happiness....nothing but death and hate.)
..and even THEN...i can almost bet my life something inside those people tells them what they are doing is wrong..

Any guy on here knows that woman and sex are so very easy to get. No offence to any woman but thats just how it is. That dude was a nut. It dont matter what you look like. He is just trying to blame society when he was the problem. I just wish one of those woman would of capped his as instead of him turning the gun on himself. What a crazy coward. He was smart because who packs heat at the gym?? I carry my gun every place i go but the gym because its just not convienant or somebody might rip it. I really like the fact that my state has carry permits but i just wish there were less restrictions of where you can carry , like school grounds ect. A law abideing legal person should be able to carry any damn place. Most nut cases do there deeds where they know its illegal for other law abideing folks to have guns. I am very pro-carry. I really think it makes a safer place for everyone. Just for instance if i am in walmart some late night and some nut pulls a weapon out and does random killings. Hopefully someone who is legal to carry saves lives either off duty leo or a regular citizen like myself. You can bet i will hide in a good place just waiting for the mother fuc*er to cross my path. I might not save everyone but 1 life saveing is a blessing. We all know this guy was crazy with no good reason to kill and nothing would of stopped him , eventually he would of killed and its just a fact. More good people who can carry legally should be trained with a hangun . The criminals will allways have there guns no matter what. Us good citizens should arm ourselves. It has been proven that states with conceil to carry permits do make a diferance in random crimes. A thug might think twice if he knew you could and would defend yourself. I might get some negative responces to this but if i was the one who saved one of your family members your mind might change on this position i am so for.

I sympathize with his entire blog. After reading it I wanted to give the fucker a hug. The only aspect of this madness that I don't understand is his willingness to take innocence. Although if you read his blog, he certainly doesn't view it as innocence, but he never really elaborated or attempted to explain how he morally justified his "exit plan."
I understand the theory of taking out the garbage on the way out. The only beef I have with him is his sloppy conclusions as to what the "garbage" is. It sure as fuck isn't soccer moms in spin class.

Ya know, I read the posts and the general consensus that the guy was "disturbed" and I wonder. While I do NOT condone the way he acted out, based on his writings the guy seemed to "Get it" just about life in general, particularly in the US. It's a focus on shallowness, outward appearances, materialism, etc. Why do we really bother? Seems that life ends up being one disappointment after another. That guy knew it very well and confronted it instead of the endless self-medication practices and denial complexes of the average person.
Again, I do not condone how he acted out his frustrations but I sometimes wonder who the "disturbed" people really are. I would argue that the disturbed people are the ones that ignore what's happening around them and continue to indulge in the mindless day to day existence of seeking short term gratification, oblivious to everything else. Anyway this sort of thing is going to happen more and more as the economy gets worse.
Btw, Im very glad to see that the thread didn't turn into an "oh noes! ban teh guns!" thread. Rational people realize that tools are only as good as the person using them.
