It was suggested to me to grow kc36 to grow for hash

it was suggested to me by someone at sacred seed to grow KC36s because of the yield to make hash.

Whaddya think, and is there a better strain to grow under a 400w HPS, in soil?

Im in toronto and can go to sacred seed.

I've never grown any of KC Brains seeds, but what I hear is they are designed to be vigourous outdoor strains. If you are growing outdoors then im sure you could get large yeilds and make alot of hash. I dont knnow how potent that strain is though.

Not sure about your height restrictions, but for indoors, I would go with a short indica dominatant plant with high resin content. Strains ive tried that fit the bill are Sour Bubble and Deep Chunk. Both strains dont yeild much bud, but if I was growing just to make hash I would probably start with them.

Hope this helps.

ive grown kc36 and its great! didnt make any hash out of it but it had a huge yield and it had a ton of huge trichomes that would be great for hash!-peace- bruijngenetics

Have grown KC strains. Nice weed. Mostly better for outdoors though, i think, he breeds for size.

Under a 400w HPS for hash I would go for a strain that prioritises yield and is reasonably well set up to cope with humidity (tends to be the issue indoors), so would go for, maybe, Big Bud or one of the BC God bud crosses. I have grown neither, I should add, but would imagine that hash from BC Sweet Tooth or BC Sweet God would be fairly pokey, and they are good yielders by all accounts. Likewise the White Rhino/White Shark/Peacemaker i.e. the "white" strains all have a good balance of good yields and plenty of resin.

If you are making hash, IMO, there's little point in growing a low-yielding connoisseur strain as they may push out lots of resin per calyx but you would need so many plants to get a decent return on your hashmaking, I reckon you're better off going with a bigger yielder.

I think Sensi Star makes the some of the craziest hash around. If you get two different phenos of it you can have a sativa leaning hash, and an indica, and make a mix as well.
