Got a new doctor..NOW WHAT?

Hello. I just got a new doctor. Set up an appoitment for next week. What I need to know is..what do I need to tell him on my first visit? And what do I do from there?

IM looking to get a cannabis card obviously..any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I had to bring a precription and some paper work from other doctors saying something was messed up with me. Payed the 90 and I had my card.

It's easy to get the card. Finding the good meds for a reasonable price is the hard part.

I was either gonna say chronic headaches or terrible back pain.......but is 1 visit enough? And if prescribes pills do I just say ok and come back in a week or 2 and say it still hurts or what??

Migraine headaches, Insomnia, Stress, Back pain, PMS if your a woman. Stuff like that works pretty good.

Are you going to a MMJ specific doctor? If they push pills on you I'd say that I would rather take a more holistic approach!

Im first gonna go to a regular doctor...so i get some type of "track record" of chronic pain. I have an appoitment to a "cannabis doctor" in a month...so seeing what i should say to my regular doctor to get some history

The things I posted are difficult to detect with a test. Pick one and do some research on their symptoms. Very smart to do your homework like this. I'm in cali and my doc just don't give a shit about all that. I started telling him why I wanted my rec. and the thing was done printing before I even got a couple words out! Now I just roll in and give him some cash. hahaha He's actually one of the more respected doc's around too!

Well if i go to my regular doctor and say i have back pain...then he gives me some pills..i go back in a week and say i dont want to take anymore pills and it hurts bad unless I take pills...and then get a printout of my records and take that to the canna doctor will that be enough? what doc u got or where can i look for a good doctor?

that should be good. Most MMJ doc's are there to help and truly believe in what they are doing. If you have back pain and western medicine isnt doing it for you.... shit, thats why your seeing a mmj doc. It should be more that enough. I'm in the L.A. area and there are TONS of docs around here. Are you around L.A.?

Why don't you just say something that might be true? MMJ docs in Cali will give you a rec for any condition where the benefits of using MMJ outweigh the detriment of medicating. I'd go with insomnia/depression. Stop being a lamebrain.

Good luck I tried to find a cheaper Doc. And ended up paying $200 at the taxed place where everyone goes. Theres a reason why it's taxed and everyone goes there though, because they will give you a card almost always.

This is a "MEDICAL Marijuana" Forum for posts about "MEDICAL" related topics....not how to scam a card.

I'm sure there is something the OP may have that is covered by "any other illness that cannabis helps" anyways.

Society and "the system" exploit med patients and pot smokers alike on a daily basis. On a way more extreme scale than an average joe trying to bank off the system. If you're for total legalization then why not let this person get their card and rest easy(somewhat anyway). I'm a legit med card holder, and I think the fact that anyone has to have a permit to smoke cannabis for any reason is a joke. It's MOTHER NATURE, A PLANT! Just pop in to a licensed med mj doc, get your card and be done with it. No muss no fuss. If you are in or go to SoCal you can pay $100, be in and out within the hour and hit the clubs for free grams.
