Mash~

Do you keep a fairly low EC thru the grow until the flush?
You referred to beneficial bacteria/tea -- could you point me to where you discussed that?

Thanks again ------ CB

Carboy - That was worded weirdly on my part, haven't directly addressed bacteria/fungi yet. That will definitely be in the social group, lots of research to be done.

Took it very seriously when my buddy discovered it's a critial link in plant health and nutrient cycling. Acquired a 40-1000x phase contrast scope and have been having the time of my life learning about biology. Killer stuff!

Anyhow, have done experiments with a wide variety of bacteria and fungi products. The most active sample came from a batch of Flora Nova that received CCH2O's tea brew kit. The Earth Worm casting base is key I'd guess, creates a diversity of life in a 24-48h brew.

Another product that's looking awesome is Soil Secret's Earth Nectar/Earth Ambrosia combo. There's a claim on the bottle that with their recipe you can get away without having to flush the system out. Not going to attempt that this go around, but will let it give confidence to a 1 month flush interval.

Sure it's DWC, where's the confusion? I wasn't trying to be a dick at all. This thread is for FUN!

I'm just getting a kick out of all the hillbillies persisting on making everything they put in their garden and trying to rip on those who wont settle for jank.

The dude is selling a product. Differ from the norm, that's all.

He also took the smart approach and pursued a patent on the design so there wont be any dick bitin'.

I'm not in association with 'em at all, standing up for what I believe in though. The garden photos will always speak for themselves.

RDWC... the sub-current part it was sets it apart from i dunno, bio-buckets... basically the big ass pvc connections run a mad current under the surface of the water creating a CURRENT UNDER the water SUB water level... i've never seen another dwc system come close when it comes to water flow from bucket to bucket... it was nice when i was putting the hydroton in the netpots before the water level got dropped it looked like the water in the hydroton was boiling so many bubbles were popping off at the surface

i'll get a thread up in a bit... been busy to say the least

The T5s are pretty rad, superb veg lighting! The bulbs are the important factor, run a mixed spectrum for best results. Cheap bulbs = less lumens, stick with GE or Sylvania for the most part if you go fluro.

mash i've been peeping your threads for a while now,I was on bigtokes bio-buckets for a while. now im doin hempy's. I've been eyeing this system for almost a year now. I couldnt find any info from the company but are these system able to be spread further apart. im use vertical lighting so i'd like to expand each buckets footprint.

any ideas on how to veg in another area then transplant into the buckets without losing root space in the bucket

This system is ridiculous. I understand why someone would want to try and DIY. But sometime DIY cost more. If someone can DIY then best of luck. 2in gommet are hard to find. I have a feeling they will save $50bucks and spend a month trying to track down all the parts, then another month get it to work proper.
