My random thoughts as I Build an Aero Cloner

So I could follow a tech and get it over with but thats just not how I numb down.

Ive built em before and had different issues with them

A lil giant leaked oil into a resy once

Overheating from too long of cycles

clogging of misters
leaking

not knowing how to handle a bunch of rooted clones without substrate

etc

So this one I have a nice fat pump im hooking into
will build the basic pipe framing

But Im debating misters over rotating sprinklers

and the top is what im debating over

looking at my 50 site rapid rooter tray
looks like if i trimmed off the bottom of it and sliced the rapid rooters in half
and inserted that tray to the top of a tuff tote
id have 50 sites right off the bat
just plant the rapid rooters with the clone

any thoughts?

I also have a bag full of STG inserts for aero cloners
but they have no firm structure to hold the bigger cuttings

also designed to be planted w the cloe

Low tech solutions are always better because there's less to break and they're easy to troubleshoot.

Regardless of the technique here, aero or perlite

Whats the best way, or gentlest way to get these rooted cuttings to another medium, say soil, or coco for that matter
DWC no problem right, but the compaction of medium is my downfall

Tips tricks pleeeze

My project is differing from the title

Im modifying the Super cheap clone a wee bit

just the resrvoir end. I like floating hydroponics

so was going to float the clone box of perlite in a pool of water knotting the wicks at the bottom and running them into the perlite above

but idont have a resy that size.

Im now going to connect 2 smaller resys and wick out of them into a modified cement mixing tray I used to use for ebb n F veg tray

The easiest way would be to start in rockwool starter cubes with a bubbler. The first sign of life, pull the cube from the bubbler and plop it in your ... whatever.

ive kept about 1/4 inch of tap water in the bottoms of the cup and

Funny thing in they sit in a shed and it's 102 in the day here.

I was sure they'd rot from hot water.

FOR SURE

THE EASIEST- CHEAPEST- QUICKEST- CLONER- YET

Skippin out on this thread and starting a new one by that name
