They are BEAUTIFUL cannaco-op. Butterflies are awesome. I'm thinking about buying a silk worm kit (monarch butterflies). But we are in the middle of winter, so 'i'll have to wait a bit. Cheers for your recommendation on the book- I wrote it down and am buying it on wednesday.

our copy gets passed around and around and around. the other day by bud says "you ever read this book, and I asked why you got it, he says yes, told him its mine, he sys no, play connect the dots, he says yep its yours, he was done with it, brought it home and another line connected the game of life and whose whose. peace, canna

Hehehehehe. Thats funny. I have had a few friend moments like that too...Bad news though, I can't get the book through my local bookstore. I am going to try the library tomorrow and then if no luck, I'll make a 2 hr trip to the main city bookstore's and try there. Wish me luck Canna. I'll let you know if I am successful in obtaining a copy...

Moths are just as beautiful and magical, And often under rated...
I love the white, brown and silver one...

good things come out at night, not the best pic, but this one had some very fine details on it. I have been noticing that there are so many species of moths, the littlest ones sometimes the most beautiful..

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think there is more species of moths than butterflies anyway... Do you get wood moths there? They are as big as a dinner plate sometimes... I have never seen a live one, just a model at the museum...

another moth

I think you are correct, more moths than butterflies, tons of both in the world.

I don't think those are eggs or off spring on the back of the caterpiller, will do some research, couple more butterfly pics:

That's either a Nematode parasite or Wasp/fly parasite. Eats the caterpillar alive.
