Sounds good, no need to risk any trouble. Are there any guidelines on butter and edibles? You sure could help medicate a lot of heads with all that trim! Or maybe you could make a cannabis specific super compost out of it?

I am giving it to a friend who will make bubble hash with it. I am sure I'll get some back for a taste.

Nice setup you got there Nomaad, welcome to northern California. From what I have read you are fitting in just fine. Great job with the plants. I run smart pots as well but only the 65 gallons. I am still going to be able to pull 2 or 3 off each which I think is testament to the smart pots. Roots get big mon'. Again great job, great variety, congrats on your child and stay safe. I would love to hear how your tissue sample experiment went. Also what are the numbers like in your county? have a good one

TJO: Thanks for stopping by. I'm really enjoying being here in norcal. I din't think I would ever live in the States again, but if you have to be here, this is for sure an irie place to be. At first I was apprehensive about being a new jack, coming into a scene where people have been doing it for 25 years and won't let you forget it. But even those oldschoolers are really starting to warm up to me.

2 or 3 in a 65 is inspiring. Stretch has not started here so I have very high hopes for the 200's. an average of 5 will be a stellar accomplishment for my first year, so that's the goal. If I average 3, I will feel pretty good too, but I'vce got to set my sights higher.

The following photo is quite meaningful in that it is the first dry bud from my first ever grow. Last week, I was using pruning sheers to cut the end of a piece of bamboo that would have poked me in the eye every evening when I put the Pink NL into the black box for the night... I accidentally decapitated a cola. Oops. Its about a week premature.

I'm really happy that it retains some of its pinkness. We're flushing it hardcore right now and taking it down in 5 days or so. Its gradually going from pink to red, so hopefully we'll be able to take it down before losing all that lovely color. We'll see how it tastes unflushed once it cures... right now it seems fine. Gonna wait at least a week or ten days before trying it again.

Dang, that nug sure is pretty, nomaad! I can't wait to see your harvest of the NL. Please keep trying to find out the details of her genetics, as she is a real beauty!

Have a great rest of your weekend, amigo.

Haha! No, that's funny though. I'm sure as you'll see your area just grows Ganja a certain way. The trichomes, leaves, fat hairs, structure of the bud...mendocino written all over it.

jakez: i am determined to find this out. its definitely a candidate for next year's black box... i really love the color and it finishes FAST.

bkind: yeah. i hear what you are saying. i was just kidding.

JJP: thanks for stopping by. glad you're enjoying.

been training everything in the 200s like mad the last few days... its amazing how fast they fill in the space we make with new colas.

have i mentioned how much i LOVE growing ganja? its going to be even more fun when I have some experience under my belt and the stress of not knowing what to expect- at all- goes away.

Gracias Demian!

Fuuuuck. I think I have some mold in the black box. I spotted it on the big GDP and immediately clipped off the bud and brought it inside for closer inspection.

Obviously, I'll be starting my research immediately as to whether it IS mold and what to do if it is, but if anybody here can weigh in, that would be comforting.

here is the bud. suspected mold is circled in red.

and now some 100x maginification. I am still egtting the hang of the Eyeclops. its a total Piece Of Shit- for instance, two of the 3 LED's are badly placed so optimal lighting of the focal area is not possible- but it does the trick. Took me about a hundred shots to get 2 crappy ones that barely allow you to appreciate the mold... The picture trigger needs to be on the separate battery pack or on a remote unit because the mere act of pressing it throws off the frame and focus.

also... in the part without the mold am I seeing mostly cloudy trichomes with amber tips?

Ah shit nomadd that blows it definitely looks like mold to me sorry man. I've heard about people putting the buds with mold in the microwave i would bet as well you could by some sort of solution at your local hydroponics store. Sorry I havn't ever really encountered mold issues but hope this helps.

damn nomaad i'm really sorry to see that bro... no doubt its the the dreaded nightmare... you'll need to act quickly and start inspecting all your plants in there but don't flip out yet, it can be dealt with... on the bright side (cause they're always has to be one), as least you'll get to see which of your strains are more mold-resistant and will work well in the box next year? this is a bummer man but it comes with the turf and trust me, you're still gonna do GREAT this summer, believe that
