Pinching Autoflowers

Hello folks,

Here are 2 of my 3 LLife HKush, the 3rd was harvested on Wed 29th and is drying nicely. No problem to grow, stood up to abuse well, 6 seeds 3 Fem, pollen collected for unnatural experiments.

The main reason for the post is to let you good peeps know that pinching does NOT work for this strain, I admit that I'm running before I can walk but had to know to satisfy my god given (gift?) to mess about where I should leave well alone.

The first pic - Plant left alone with about 1 week to go, second my attempt at pinching with 3 weeks to go, I'm hoping that the buds swell out but I am also hoping my dick grows a couple of inches.

The plant was pinched on the RD node while in veg.

Nice contribution. Autoflowers hate to be messed with. I have never pinched one but have knocked the top out of several. They didn't like that either.

One time though, it worked pretty good but that's like 1 out of 10...

The plant in the first pic looks great.

pretty sure pinching and topping are the same thing. at least thats how ive always understood it

You can read all you want but you really learn by trying new things to see what happens, well I do anyway, sometimes it works out. Sometimes it don't. I learn from experience.

Given that, yes on this strain you are right.

Actually i've noticed mine are bigger than untopped ones. .. soo idk. go figure..

2 pictures is not a conclusive result my friend...

to get a proper idea you want several of each that will be pinched and lst'd. you also want them all to be the same seeds, only then will you get an idea of the results.

did you mean bigger? or wider? if they're wider i wouldn't exactly say that they are bigger than an untopped one. in the thread starters pics it looks like the one plant was topped and has a bunch of tiny buds instead of one big one and a couple of smaller bottom buds. i believe the end result of topping a plant is actually going to loose some weight because you lost a good week of growth.

Correct, however its a start!. Will someone please take on this challenge, I've tried using only 1 strain from 1 breeder, really interested in this but don't have the beans or equipment to take it further. (For now!)

All I am doing is exploring the possibilities, not just for me but for others, Ive seen many questions on the AF thread.

Somehow now it doesn't seem worth it!

Yep, also, on this strain the main bud mass forms on the central Cola, (pic 1), thinking back I should prob have tried to pinch it well before it got to the 3rd node, (after 1st node?), it showed sex quickly after my pinch, far to late to allow the plant to recover from injury and re-program new growth patterns.

On my LST I've used paperclips from the start, camera not working at the mo, will get a pic to you.
