now with a swamp cooler arent you worried about humidity. that will make mold later on in flower. i would suggest a ac unit. you will be happy and you wont have to worry about getting something else. Like a dehumidifier. just my opinion.

Most of the written above, at least bullshit!

i live in a cali desert area and my green house gets hot as hell. how can i keep it cool without running fans and misters?

I repeat: without fans :noway:

It is very simple: to use "The method of Jacob Mittleider". I don't want to repeat pics from another threads, so you can see it in my signature, or use google lol

PS Jacob Mittleider has a very interesting life story.

If in a desert situation, it's the exact opposite. I live in a dry climate and my greenhouse is cooled with an evaporative cooler. When it's 110 degress, the greenhouse will never get over 85 will full on sun and it throws my humidity up to 50% from 10%... the plants absolutely love the added humidity. Of course this will not work in a humid environment.

Anyways, I've been growing in greenhouses with evaporative coolers for ever 10 years now. I will not discuss yield, but I've been a very happy desert camper.

Updated today. I will have to cut the tops off or they're going to grow in the ceiling. I hope the start flowering soon.

I'm using a new gh this year with vents in the roof and that also seems to make a big difference from the vents high up on the walls.

we put chicken wire on the lower two feet of each side of the green house and have a 12" strip along the top. the air moves in and out because heat rises. lol it gets over a 100 here for a couple of months and we have no problems what so ever with heat. but we do water twice a day, just to cool the kids off. kinda like running thru a sprinkler system.
