Can this powdered kelp be used?

I guess you could but I don't think iodine is needed.. Sodium isn't a killer if it was just a small bit. But to use all the time? I'd say no.

Still you could save a lot of cash if you can buy something like THIS

Edit.. Kelp is a source of iodine? Interesting.. Hey is it bad for the soil?

kelp is the best dietary source of iodine I can think of. if you don't use iodized salt and never eat commercial food, kelp will keep you from getting a goiter.

CC has said, acadian seaweed is one of the best seaweeds to use

I like maxicrop powdered also

Mmm, kelp meal. My plants love it. If you think about it, ocean water probably contains every single kind of mineral on earth. Like that Italian sauce commercial, "It's in there".

also don't confuse sodium listed in a nutritional analysis with sodium as an ingredient. Just about every thing that grows has some sodium in it.
