i grow under a 150hps in a cabinet. i have been growing dreamgoddess for several yeas taking a clone of a clone. when cloning back in the last month of 08 i could not get anything rooted. at this same time i lost 3 out of 4 flowering attempts due to a root problem. i had 4 plants survive grown together in a 4 gallon cat litter container with 4 airstones in a dwc. these plants made it a provided me a great harvest in march 09. i revegged the plants and lost one in the process. i just started flowering the three and looking at the roots, the new growth are at the bottom and their are a lot of dead roots in between. i ordered hygrozyme to help break down old root mass. my h2o temps can creep to 80 but i keep frozen water bottles in the container to control temps.

i am reading that hygrozyme can promote the slime attack...the one that i am trying to prevent by using hygrozyme. these are very special plants that i do nnot want to loose. i am doubting even now adding this.
any recommendations. like as a 24 hr flush.

lastly, i have been adding EA and EN and i think i have had remarkable resuls with fighting off the slime.

any recommendations?

there seems to be different out comes with different folks with hygrozyne..several of the posts here lead me to believe that hygrozyme can be the root cause of slimy roots.
i had 4 plants in a 4 gallon container. the plants are about a year old. 1 plant died... its roots are mixed in with the healthy roots and there is a big root ball that looks like they are dead with the new roots growing at the bottom of the container..plants super healthy and i am using EA and EN which feeds the mycorrhizae and beneficial bacteria.
looking for direction if i should use hygrozyme or stick with the EA and EN to breakdown or use both one and not the other. maybe I can use one during a flush or something like that. i am going to be on pins and needles until these plants finish

in 6 years this is the first time that i have revegged. i did it because i lost all the clones of this special plant to a root slime. these survived and provided me some of the best flowers ever. i did it for kicks and giggles in an attempt to save a very special plant. i couldn't find very much info on the reveg subject but i simply switched from 12 to 24 to 18 hrs of light and these plants came back with a vengence...just alot of root mass taking up the container and i know alot of it is dead.
do you use hygrozyme

re-vegging plants seem to almost go into stasis, real low metabolism - ya gotta be paitent and avoid over doing anything - remember the metabolisium is recovering from full on fever.

I just started using hygrozime -- I think about a teaspoon per gal. it's not an instant tonic - but does seem to be good for the grow!

Good Luck!

Keep us informed!

i use 3ml/gal and my roots are white as can be... could be because the plants are healthy though.

i started to reveg in april...lost 1 plant but other 3 have flourished...they are huge and healthy...my roots are brown though from the Earth Ambrosia Earth Nectar that has mychorrizae bacteria in my dwc...again these are full grown healthy plants and wanted to use hygrozyme to simply help the plants. my h2o temps can climb just short of 80 if i do not have any frozen water bottles in there. this happens maybe once a day right before i get home from work...damn job..usually stay around 65

I had white roots
Started using Hygrozyme
Roots turned brownish and slimey
Stopped using Hygrozyme
Roots are white again
Hygrozyme no worky for me
