My parents are generally uncool about smoking, but that's only because of all the other drugs I've done. But then again I only started doing other drugs after I couldn't smoke weed with them drug testing me all the time (ironic). I'm sure once I'm on my own they won't really care. I can hardly believe my parents lived in Cali their whole lives, both of them are so estranged to the whole pot thing.

hmmm, my parents both hung out with a little group called the Merry Pranksters in the sixties..... they were the ones telling us as children that pot was much better for us than alcohol.
my parents taught me everything i know =) i consider them more like my best friends! i believe i was like 13-14 rolling around in the maxima with my best friends when she passes back a fatty hahah you wana hit? hellya we want a hit ma

I started toking in 1971 & my folks had known for a long time, I kept it a respectable distance from them & it was hardly ever a point of tension. Late 70s - early 80s I'd gotten 4 DUIs because I was drinking more than toking, for some reason one day my father was giving me shit about weed, I shot him a look & said "I wished that I'd been high instead of drunk for those DUIs", dad sorta nodded with a sheepish look on his face, my dad was a smart guy & to prove him wrong or to quell his argument as I did was unusual. btw I was out of the house in '74 @ age 18.

My parents have open minds and now they just got there rec's and my pops is growing some nice plants. They don't want to smoke so going the edible and vape route. I'm in my 40's and this last 6 months has been the most i have talked with my Dad in years. MJ is a great plant for more reasons then we know. He loves to garden and this has been great for him. My mom tried some pills I make and first night she really didn't feel anything. Taking it easy for a newb, so second night gave her two and about 3 hours later I hear her in the kitchen trying to eat the whole damn place.
My dad read the "Emporer wears no clothes" and the blinders really came off once he realized how much bullshit has been sold to the general public. Only bad thing is that all is happening at the last part of their life.

My folks are very old fashioned.Father and mother both grew up in the 50's pretty straight laced except for drinks.Got the attempted intervention at 15 ,i refused pops 2cnd order to test ,lost his trust.At 19 they both found a plant in their garden and made me yank it.By this time they knew the fact i smoked,but didn't approve.Just recently while visiting ,i got the feeling they suspected i was growing to help pay bills.Suspicions were confirmed in a phone call with my mom who said "we haven't heard from you in days,i thought you may have gotten arrested or something" Ok they know....

I had sent my mom a copy of Ed Rosenthals Why marijuana should be legal,seeing the government own statistics really cemented it for her how wrong prohibition is,she worries like any mom would,but sees it fighting the good fight now,not a crime.
Mom knew I was experimenting in High School but eventualy put her foot down and said no way!
but then I turned 18 and got my Prescription...now she knows and we joke about it . I watch her house sometimes while she is gone and I smoke inside (why go outside?) and when she comes back sometimes she doesn't mind other times she says you're brand of pot stinks like shit...lol (she likes the purp smell but hates the kush smell go figure)....

lol...wow...that was a bit ago....i remember the first time i smoked in front of my mom....we were driving up I-95 from Florida, and I had all these blunts rolled, and she finnaly just told me to smoke one...lol...after that, when I was younger...I could keep my weed in the fridge when I had a lot, and all my other bongs and bowla and all that didnt have to be hidden anymore....sounds kinda low life, but far from it...it worked out well actually...
