Im hearing about these home invasions more and more. Is this something that one needs to be concerned about while living in Northern California assuming they keep an otherwise low profile? Or are these mainly happening to whole house grows/people running their mouths too much?

I've been shot twice and stabbed a few times. If you have the time to put in at the range to get COMPETENT, I recommend being able to fire back. I can tell you that I wouldn't be here today if I hadn't been able to on a few occasions. Shorter barrel shotgun is a great home gun, under the pillow gun is a .38 Police & Military with +P ammo. Day to day carry is an OMC backup in a wallet holster.

That being said, the average idiot never spends the hours upon hours you need to really BE competent. If you're determined to be armed, know how to handle a firearm. Know how to clear jams, load & fire with BOTH hands and eyes because you never know if you're going to be occupied with your dominant hand. I really mean hours and hours. Range time and scenario practices build the skills you need to both survive and react appropriately when needed.

But remember, running away while screaming like a little girl is REALLY underrated.

My house has been robbed two times.,once when no body was home the other time my 21 year old son was home.
To make a long story short,
I have two big, brand new tarps in storage. The next mother fucker that steals from me,is gonna get a ride to the mountains, wrapped in a tarp.:bat:
The only thing I HATE more than a thief is a child molester.

Great advise.. Having a gun dosen't mean a thing.. Knowing how to shoot means everything.. I caught one too while being robbed.. I got lucky but my friend died.. I wish to this day I would have took an interest in firearms much much sooner.. Who knows maybe I could have done something.. Especially in my neighborhood it seems insane not to have a concealed carry permit.. I've known soo many people who owned guns and never put in the range time to get comfortable and accurate shooting it.. People think when the time comes they will act but it doesn't work like that.. You need to practice shooting and be able to react to a threat.. All you have is a split second.. I reccomend everbody out there to get a carry permit if they don't live in a backwards ass state like I used to.. Also fight to keep your gun rights, join the NRA.. Also put in the range time! Spend the money and put in the hours, nothing is more important then that..

We had some young dudes selling meat show up at my place a few years ago looking to trade meat for weed. I told them to get the fuck out of here. They were from a meat company in Eureka. We did buy some meat from a guy from Sacramento who was up here in a truck a couple years back. He did ask if we could trade weed and we just played dumb. His lead in question to ask about the weed was " are their any jazz clubs around here?". I guess he was looking for some reefers.

I wouldn't take raw meat from some strange person if they gave it to me for free.
Hell no, who knows where that has been or even what it is.
Maybe expired with the date changed, rejected by grocery, etc....
Door to door meat sounds just plain nasty to me.

Myself, everyone who knows me knows to call first before stopping over, this goes for family as well, I'm an ass about it.
I don't answer my door unless I'm expecting someone, anyone knocking is no one I know and can take off.
They keep knocking and I'm sending the dogs out, hell, it would be my pit bulls dream come true to run into a meat salesman in their yard.

what really suck is I know if I got robbed by armed intruders my pitts would b shot. But they wouldnt die in vein because that would give me presious time to react. Then im gonna b pretty pissed cause some asshole just shot my dog. I Have some friends that have been robbed several times and it makes me sick. Some people just dont have the game to get there own dope sorry muther fuckers. My brother in law spent 8 years in the joint for robbin dealers and I dont think he got long enough. Eddy lepp just got ten and he didnt violate anyones home or cause anyone harm or fear.

So the moral of the story is - don't buy your meat on the street, or you might get beat.

It's very foolish to presume what someone else has or hasn't gone through just because they might be able to forgive someone for something that you wouldn't.

I agree, a post like that can sometimes come off as naive and make you wonder if they have ever experienced something of such extreme circumstance, but to blindly assume so is setting yourself up to play the fool. Not trying to be a dick, just saying.

OR...been around here long enough to know who I was talking to, thanks.

I hope your brother in law rots in hell....he doesn't even have a right to live.

I think we need to do a security meeting...because your dogs are always a thought of mine. There's some things we can do.

I've thought of that too.
You come to my house to rob me and shoot one of my dogs in the process, you may as well have shot my mom, because I do not care what happens after that, one of us is going to the graveyard.

I saw on CSI that they can tell if a body has been frozen by looking at the cells under a microscope. Refrigeration is the better option.

Yea a forensic pathologist can determine that a body has been frozen.. But the point of freesing a body is to confuse the time of death.. While they will be able to tell they body was frozen they won't know for how long.. So the person could have been frozen a week a month even a year and they can't put an estimate on time of death.. So by this now all they have is a body.. Unless they find physical evidence to a specific suspect chances are slim they will be able to find the murderer.. And even if they do get a suspect you can't even see if he has an aliby because you have no idea where or when the murder was commited..
