Nice looking work! If you do anymore rooms, save yourself a few bucks and use regular drywall. That greenboard is totally unnecessary.

thanks!

Can you elaborate on why you say its not necessary to use moisture resistant drywall? Figured it would be better than just the reg

The greenboard is made for wet locations like bathrooms where it can get splashed or so humid/steamy that the walls actually get wet. With your application your humidity might get a little high from time to time, but it shouldn't get high enough to warrant greenboard. If it does get high enough to need greenboard then your bud is all going to rot and you will want to put your fist thru the wall, in which case it will be preferable to have regular drywall that has softened up a bit.

Regular drywall with a coat of PVA Sealer then a coat or two of flat white paint is plenty good for normal grow-room conditions. Regardless of the type of drywall you use, the drywall should be lifted 1/2" from the floor (they make a little tool you step on to make this easy). Keeping the drywall a little bit off the floor keeps water spills from soaking into the drywall. If you didn't lift the drywall, fuck it. It's not worth redoing it and cutting it would be counter-productive. Just make sure to wipe up spills right away so that water doesn't soak into your drywall as it will cause mold.

Yeah, hell, the greenboard isn't going to hurt anything - just thought I'd save you a few bucks on your next room.

Good luck with your project - lookin good!!!!
