Hi everybody!

This is gonna be some fun! :joint:

Equipment

(1) Ebb and Grow Bucket System with 30 sites

(30) teen plants, been vegging for 3 weeks prior under 1000 watt MH and a 600 watt HPS in my ebb and grow vegg room.

(3) 2K Cooltubes (cant get enough of these things) = 6000 watts

15000 BTU LG A/C from home depot. Last one on shelf, or I would have gotten bigger.

(1) 10 inch canfan

(1) 8 inch canfan

(1) Box 10 inch insulated ducting

(1) RAMBO STYLE Master Lighting Controller :yoinks:

(4) additional outlets

(6) bags hydroton

Room specs,,, is 6 by 15 and 8 tall. The room was generously built by a friend of mine from this site. He fronted the labor to me like a true mcghoo. He is willing to be paid at harvestime.Pretty much stoked about that situation!

The Strains----10 Grape Ape , 10 Sour Grape , 2 Strawberry Cough Kyle Kuskman Cut , and 4 Chemdog's sister and 4 Super Siver Haze for a total of thirty.

The ebb and grow is a friend of mine. I fuckin love it. Dont have the time to build the bio-buckets as stated by sticky, nice thread.

The medical marijuana business is booming round these parts. Every installer I know is deep in growroom work. Damn thats frustrating. I am always looking out for good maintenance people and they seem harder and harder to come by every day.

Oh well, I am vegging until 8/10 in an attempt to fill up the canopy.....

The yellow on the plants is nute burn, the installer is useto working with C02 and started at 1300 ppm, too high so I added water and toned it down a bit!

Door #1 (behind the left portion of the false wall is the A/C and extractor fans for hot ballasts and what not)

How this grow is going to turn out is a mystery to me. I dont know if I should use tomato cages or a scrog net. What do youguys think??

Thank you Big green, I really appreciate your input. I am going to be putting them in a few days. I mean there are only 30 plants but Im pretty sure they will be falling over!

Man I used to run an ebb and grow, good stuff. Wished they had 3/4" lines for faster floods. Didn't usually get lucky with mutliple strains, all of them seemed to suffer somewhat (some want more food, some want less.) Have you not had this problem yet?

That is a good question. I use and ebb and grow now with 48 buckets for vegg. When I have 99 plants I just double them up in the buckets in big 4 by 4 rockwool cubes for stabilization. I keep it at 7-800 ppm and the plants grow tall and stay green.I can even top them if I want. First two weeks I use the 1000 watt MH and then I turn on the 600 watt HPS to harden em off. Then I pull them out and flower. Great system.

Now that im going to use this seperate system for JUST flowering I guess that is a challenge I'll have to face. The general consensus in my brain is to keep the whole grow at 1200 ppm and be fine. This is kind of one of my "spare change" grows anyway...

Also Lazyman I talked to my handyman about automating the resovoir top off link and I sent it to him , he is going to put it together for me for my other "open air" resovoirs...Thanks dude!

How many buckets were you running and what was your vegg time lazyman? Think tomato cages are worth it, fuck a scrog net right?

Very nice, diggin the setup. I had 25 buckets with 6" net pots of hydroton in the top, on a 55 gallon res. I usually used a shit-ton of bamboo stakes, but yeah cages would have been better hands down! I usually did 3-6 weeks veg, growin trees! I had this under 3KW on a circular light mover, usually no CO2, sealed room with AC, usually got around 4 pounds (rarely finished with 25 though, usually 17-20 after culling runts and whatnot.) Not bad, not spectacular, but yeah tough to keep em all happy food-wise. My trainwreck and sweet tooth adored the system the most, 4-5 ounces a plant, others were usually around 3 zips each.

God man that info is so helpful to me thanks!!

Trainwreck is a very nice plant, buds all the way down. But for some weird reason any purple strain gets me goin too..

Now I am anticipating switching to flower and also installing the tomato cages. With 6k my better half tells me to vegg as long as I can stand too!!

Gonna flip 8/10..

Sweet man, that's when I should be starting my chop! :)

I decided to get away from trees and do SOG so I can do more harvests per year, it just made good math you know? But when guys like SoQuick are pulling half a p per plant in a bucket, my math starts to look a little sickly, lol.

6K, you oughtta pull at least 8-9#'s off that when done, no CO2 huh? It would mean less cooling needs, especially if you throw a tank setup in. Maybe push that to 10-11p's with the gas. ;) 2 pounds is worth $1000 isn't it?

Good luck chopping, that is always a good time! I really like SOquicks setup, he does what people say you cant do, putting 7k or whatever so close together. He is good.

I dont have Co2 in this because I dont have the cash, my blue dream and sour grape grow and this one have wiped me out. But Bro, you speak OPTIMISTICALLY. I mean shit 8-9? Fuck that would nice. Where can I get a tank setup anyway?

In my garage I have the 6 site Co2 natural gas burner with 6k and a portable 8000 btu ac. So I have only been able to do 500 ppm (cuz of the heat), which helps. I just bought a 18000 split A/C from Shinco (the one with the black face)
Once that fuckers installed its game day my friend!!
see the burner on the hook?

:yeahthats

I like SOG but good luck making clones all day or buying hundreds and culling out the shitty ones.

Check out Krunchbubble and his 10k third dimension vertical grow.

He did 30 plants and pulled 16!!!!

Best grow Ive seen so far

Now back to your automating resovoir thread

Yeah I hear you on the cash flow, hard as I try it's usually feast or famine in my house, fortunately the famine part is only a few weeks at most. ;)

CO2 tank setup, I bought a tank off Craigslist off some dude (full is nice) and then bought a used regulator off another guy on CL, whole thing cost me under $200. What temps are you hitting on your other room with the CO2 generator? Might be time to swap that thing out for one of the ducted or water-cooled models so you can dump more (most) of the heat but keep the good stuff! I'm getting one of those water cooled deals (HydroGen) next week, will post a thread on it. Gonna use two propane tanks so I don't have to change em all the time.

Anyway, I usually get about 1.5# off a light, so that's where I was coming up with my figures, but I know guys who blow that out of the water. ;) :joint:

Oh yeah, and regarding clones, I look at it as a small price to pay for:

Not having to even have a veg room (equipment, power, maintenance, space)
Not having to keep up a strainbase of good phenos
Not having to clone, which I hate and suck at
No mothers or clones to maintain and spray/feed/worry about

Small price to pay for a big chunk of convenience, and it helps stimulate the economy and makes my friends day when I call em and order a bunch. ;)

I cant wait to see how the water cooled Co2 works for you works for you. That is gonna be a good thread. Im hitting temps of 85+ on bad days but I am installing the Split A/C as we speak. I dont know anyone who gets more than 1.5 per light personally. Wish I did. Ive bought a lot of shit off craigslist too. Matter of fact I met my girlfriend on there, she taught me how to grow!

As far as vegging I really like having a vegg room. I keep a few moms but I dont make any clones. Why clone when you can just go to Oakland and get bomb ass plants? Cant be cheap when it comes to buying plants. I remember when I first started growing it was tears of pain when I bought cheapo clones! I just by like 100 and vegg them for weeks in the good old ebb and grow so they can be ready for the bloomrooms so they stay bloomrooms only.

We're harvesting the garage in a couple weeks so Ill let you know how it goes as far as yield.

LOL, that's f'in cool man, I love Craigslist! I found my current house and clones on CL, lol.

Yeah I know a dude getting over 2#'s a light in buckets, all hydro organic (another Ebb&grow user) but he's been doin it for ages, dude has his shiat dialed in, with CO2, cool basements, etc. He just switched to 600's and is still getting about 1.5 per light! Yeah keep us posted on the yield, that's always a fun part. :joint:

Have 3k in lights on up to this day, room dimensions are 6 wide x 15 long and 8 high. 6k seems to be too much light but maybe not if I vegg them long enough. Does that make sense?

We ran cooltubes for the last 3yrs and finally upgraded to coolsun reflectors. Tubes loose too much light. What a difference, try it, you'll see!

We have 4 of these 36 site systems w/55 gal rez. PBP, Sweet, hygrozyme, aquashield, killer shark, and liquid karma.

We veg on 4x6 tables usually for 3 weeks before flowering in 4" rockwool cubes. Cubes are placed one inch below top of bucket and usually root down in 7-10 days.

Flower rooms are climate controlled co2 @1300-1800ppm @83-88F room temps. 2 rooms 9x12, 6000 watts each. Plants yield 3-5 zips each.

Running multiple strains are never a problem here. We run 60-75 day plants.
