thx fo stopen by earohead.

the small ones r in 20 oz Gatorade bottles.

but I have seen other ppl on here get big healthy plants in small bottles.
the other 3 plants r in half gallon pots.

what about if i put some silver workers tape wraped around the clear bottles to block the light from the roots.

how do I know when I am feeding them too much nuts or not enough nuts.
And I cant ever seem to get my plants leafs to get that healthy dark green and thick growth.

Your plants are yellowing from the bottom up. You need more nitrogen. People with smaller bottles may have more nutrient rich mediums to sustain the larger plants in smaller pots.

There is little you could do besides repot once plants become root bound. You can feed with 1/4-1/2 strength nutes and see if that helps.

What is your soil mix? If you keep it very light and fluffy with lots of perlite and coco the plants roots will grow faster and have more room in the pot then heavy compacted soil. The draw back of this is inert ingredients like coco and perlite will mean your pot runs out of nutrients faster meaning you must feed earlier and more often.

Quite a few people on the board are using clear bottles to flower with great results. Light proofing your bottles shouldn't hurt but let one go with clear sides and see for yourself.

Hello #1cheesebuds!
First of all little plant on second photo has a dark sterm - phosphorus deficiency, but otherwise everything is fine.

I've been using clear bottles...has anyone done tests to compare same plant strains with clear and opaque containers?

I think thundurkle did a side by side with clear bottles and ones that were taped up. If i remember right, there was no difference.

well it was first ment to be a full sog grow but then I desided to lst them agen.
a few of the plants r still in the 20oz bottles.
some of the first sog plants died so I had to start over. and the new ones looks like crap also.
I think I need new better soil.

I would love to change the name of the growlog to somthing else but don't think I can.

does this answer ur question.

no worries you can always try for a SOG once all the bugs are worked out

cheese - i had some of my cuts bottom out in a solo cup. They were only about 4 to 5 inches high . make sure they are not root bound!
sticky
