what is the strongest strain & what does it yield?

The strongest weed for me was AK47 from Serious Seeds (Home growned) and the Amnesia Haze from Dampkring's coffee shop in A'Dam.
The AK47 has a very heavy effect. A mix between Sativa and Indica. Not for the rookie smoker :) And a very nice yield.. Very compact buds...
The Amnesia Haze was sativa in effect. A lot of paranoia and long lasting high about 2Hours very intense.
If you like sativa high you can like better Neville's Haze than Sensi Star. Sensi Star is an indica stone an Neville's sativa high. This is very difficult for answer you. Tell us more what you think strong. Is it more stone or high ?

if only there were sites where people comment on pot and their experiences that we could search and read in order to find the answer to this question.

if only something like that existed...

This is 100% the truth, I get so tired of these type of threads, there seems to be a new one every month, and no one seems to want to do any research on there own, just seems lazy to me. OHHHHH and my answer is the strongest is some old dirt weed mexi and yield is 2 grams per plant flower time about 250 days, now go do some research.

The best I ever smoked was Rez SD....the fieriest of the fire for sure! Shit was ridiculous - take more than 2 hits at your own peril!

According to some "reports" I believe Southeast Asian Sativas are the "most potent".

For a proper answer, go to Oxford Mississippi...?

Out of the known/named strains in California, I would vote for OG Kush, then Bubba Kush.

See a lot of people get introduced to Bubba and praise it as the best... until they meet OG^^

Bubba yields moderately, and OG a little less then moderately.

Just preference and opinion though, it is a very complicated and incomplete question.

It's rather hard to say what is more potent than another because many strains have different effects. If you mean "knock you out" high then for me at least it would have to be Sensi Star, AK-47 or Big Bang from Greenhouse seeds. For a more wired trip you out sativa high mine have been Island Sweet Skunk and many hazes on the market I've smoked. Yeild also depends on the strain.. Every strain I've mentioned gets an above average yeild atleast from my experience..

Sure it will...

It just needs a couple different phenos

sativa
indica
mix between the above

sounds perfect to me

I think Hawaiian strains are the most trippy. Real hindu kush is the most euphoric. thai strains are the raciest including hazes. Afganis are the most couch locked.

So look for a strain that is an IBL cross of the land races you want. The frostiest strain I have ever seen is Benji's Deep chunk x pine tar kush. that shit is incredible.

If you tell me what traits you want in a strain I will be happy to sugest things for you.

i didnt start my thread correctly, i know different strains effect everyone differently.
i was wanting to know what weed has the highest thc content.
personaly i love amniesia haze, kali mist & the cheese over here the now is awsome, ticks all the boxes.

No-one has ever measured THC content in a consistent and reliable way.
If they have, I haven't seen it yet, and I've been looking for a long time...

Mostly it's either sellers' hype (ridiculous figures in the 20+% range that make absolutely no sense at all, if you think about it) or else it's Prohibitionist rubbish which has the sole purpose of scaremongering about how dangerous this 'new' cannabis is.

Aside from this, THC content is not the only predictor of cannabis strength as the chemistries involved are too complex and NOT really understood, since next to no scientific work has been done in this area.

Finally, even in strong strains, the variation in strength of a single freak pheno will totally screw up any 'average' figures. Find some nice strong pot you like, and then hunt for that special pheno...

And (as some have already hinted) there's even the rare schwag pheno out there that will seriously piss all over any pampered, mollycoddled commercial strains. You won't find it often, but when you do... he-heh.

===

In short, forget trying to find which "the Strongest" is. Bloody result of the trashy "popularity contests" on TV if you ask me. Sign of the times.

i had budder once & it was marketed as 99% thc but when i smoked it i wasnt near as stoned as i had been off of a bit cheese for example. so i see where you are comming from, there r more factors in the stone other than the thc ( marketing) content.

Exactly mate,
And I should also mention that some of the numbers chucked about (as best as I could understand, anyway) were in fact what percentage of canabinoids was THC!! Completely useless if the actual total cannabinoid content was low, but boy, does it look impressive on paper... LOL

Further, testing for THC content in smokeable bud is a pretty ridiculous idea, too, since the removal of as much as a single bit of stalk or leaf will cause huge fluctuations in those supposedly important percentage points. So, what gives? Do I get to manicure my bud TOTALLY (and unrealistically) before it's tested? I mean selectve manicuring alone could double the THC, ffs! I assume that's how the DEA figures of 10% came about. I mean, those guys want to paint a horror picture, right? Do you think they would have hesitated using figures like those of trash UK tabloids like the so-called "Independent", i.e 30% plus, if they could get away with it, and not get laughed off the block?

Someone else might suggest that a good test would be to measure only the trichomes (hash) of the plant, but here again there are several pitfalls, not least of which is that not all varieties are necessarily good hashplants.

So, as far as I can see, it's going to be (VERY) difficult to get a good standardised measure and even then a freak pheno would make it quite meaningless. What's the point of saying, e.g. that my "Glasgae Kiss" (imaginary strain) is 7%, if someone comes along with one that's 11%?

But, as I already said, THC is not even the only predictor of strength, so it's all pretty meaningless, and very, very hypey.

I would agree with the Asian sativas from my experience. Out of all the landrace sativas I've had the chance to grow, the unknown chinese landrace sativas I grew were by far the most heart pounding, trip out, brain popping weed.

But it was all in the head with no body which is all good if thats what you like. Indica gents would usually not like this kind of pot but rather an indica with just as heavy a hit but on the opposite end of the cannabis effect spectrum so to speak. Many may like a good mix of head and body effect.
If this is what your after, than one of the hundreds of super potent easily avalable hybrids out there would be better suited.

If thats the case, do some research. Many, if not all of the powerhouse strains can be found on this site with detailed smoke reports. Just look for the reports for the strains the guys rate amazing potency, then go buy the ones that sound the best.

Regards, Ah

Urban, From my personal experience....the % of thc doesn't correlate to the total quality of the smoke. The thc content of White Russian is supposed to be one of the highest.....however after growing it out, I have others I like much better. Some love the Kush's and Indicas....some love the Sativa's. Weed is like wine...it is very subjective. Good luck
