What's new

Last minute 9site Flood&Drain I threw together.

Hey, Sup Growers :bandit:
Had 9 extras I wanted to throw into a little Flood&Drain tub. About 14x14" square area...off to the side of 1K lighting.
Rooted in Jiffies in a little Promix.
Size small rocks, rinsed.
This is day19 of 12/12...they were tripped in about 7days veg from a 3" clone with a couple roots...tripped at about the height of that beer can.
Strain unknown.

Set it and forget it. Love the F&D!

looking great!

what nutes are you giving your girls on that side table?

yes looks great!

im in the middle of building a flood-drain myself... i would love to see how your doing yours and how your doing your noots

Forgot to grab the notes on the exact nute time table thus far...but it is quite simple.
At day one...rooted jiffy cube stuck into the rock...GH nutes...initial rez mixed with just Micro and Bloom Flora at 5ml Micro and 10ml Bloom per Gal. I rely heavily on the base recommendations of Lucas/PH...tho I do tweak at times. PH adjusted to 5.8...tap here is 80ppm/7.1-2ph.
I can get back with further details.

Took a few parts pics...gimme a bit to upload.

Hey...haven't been on for a while.
So 3.14oz from those 9 in that small outskirts lit area!!! (not even as wet as my guy will take it...but at prolly 2.8/9 oz...any buyer would be happy)
This REALLY has me thinkin' about squeezin' in a high density grow once or twice a yr.
Dangerous plant count tho...but the potential yield just proved itself. 3+/1K with 7day veg at about 9 per sqft.

I didn't snap many pics...I think I have a couple...

Nice little grow Dave...
There's actually alot of light that's wasted and your grow is an example of how to utilize some of it. Nice job Dude. Sorry I missed the begining but I did read it all and checked out the shots. I like E&F too.

Dave. Looking good on the E&F. major potential if put under direct light.
How often were you flooding? 5.8ph the whole way? ppm?
Might have been worth it to throw a screen on top of those babies.
keep up the good work

...
How often were you flooding? 5.8ph the whole way? ppm?...

PPM was never over about 800-850.

Every fresh batch of nutes was set to 5.8-9.
I never checked or adjusted the rez after that....but the rez was a little oversized and I assumed stable.(50ltrs in the rez...only took about 15ltrs to flood)

I think I only flooded twice during lights off and earlier in the cycle, flooded every 2-3hrs during lights on. Somewhere around wk 2 flower, floods were every hr. The pump took about 3-4min to fill...I set the timer to 6min. Took less than 10min to completely drain. So 44min per hr completely clear of "flood" time.

Flood frequency should be determined by all the influencing factors ideally.

The entire crop I used a base mix of GH Micro and Bloom only at 0/5/10ml per gal(3.78ltrs) up to 0/6/12.
Total ltrs in the rez is 50. I think at about wk 3 I topped up with 15ltrs of left over mix from the "Big room" mix...which is 0/8/16, fulvic/humic acids, molasses, A.N. Bigbud @ 50ppm, potassium silicate, 1/4dose of SM90(used as a water wetter for the soilless peat/perlite pots)

I use a healthy dose of a B1 early to mid veg...just once. I've found that about .5/2/1 to be the best. A B1 rated at 1/1/1 is a waste of your money for what you pay.

The very last feed was ONLY A.N. Overdrive for 2-3days. Rez drained/filled with about 20ltrs of Overdrive at 3ml/ltr. (I have since started experimenting with just GH Bloom by itself instead)

Each rez change...I used that fresh mix to top 'flush' each pot by hand.
Final flush...5.8-9 water...flush each pot thru with that ph'ed water and toss it...then ran the water only for about 12-14days. I might have changed the rez for fresh water once, can't recall.

when you say unknown strain was it bagseed or a gifted 'elite' cut or what?

Nothing special...just some strain that makes it into the cutting supply circles but somehow the true name gets lost somewhere along the line.

Might have a line on some 'Green Crack' cuts...I could have got it about 1 1/2yrs ago but was also told it wasn't necessarily a big yielder, so I passed. I'd like to try it in a dense SOG.
