24 hoods, 6 1000's, 2 rooms & a couple of flip boxes

Got me a new spot in the republik of Kali with a new EIN and BOE resale cert to run an honest business. I had a bunch of coil ballasts, and a 4 light and 8 light flip so I grabbed hoods, bulbs, and some 8/2awg cable. wired up an MLC-8, shot 40 amps to it, and will run 6 ballasts 24/7 (2 12 hour photoperiods) 6 hoods on per 12 light room in a zig zag pattern.

the A room is 12.5x15.5 with 4 rows of 3 hoods flipping every 2 hours. after its photoperiod, another flip connected to a separate timer with 2 trigger cables flips all the power to the B room which is 17x12.5 (2 rows of 6 spaced 4' will internally flip every 2 hours like the A room. bam... 6 ballasts powering 24 hoods in 2 12 hour photocycles.

I think this is the only way to maximize your GPKW. Its an experiment so Im not sure what to expect, but I assume at least 12# with the potential for 20+ Im running my Kabers (Bubba Kush), SFV_OG, and my new personal fav... GUIDO by motarebel

I wounder how many Icmag'ers will be at the show this year....
I went to the first one and got so much stuff we filled the whole back seat of the car and the truck so i had no were to sit.......
I ended up burried in the back seat ......i must have had a hundred pounds of nutes in my lap the whole way home.....Its a good thing i ate abunch of turtle bars from the green door and could not stop laughing ...so at least everyone i was with thought i was having a good time....lol
For three people and fifty five bucks total we spent inside , the total value of stuff was around 2 grand...

The more LBS the better, but if we are talking about LBS is the exp of a digi ballast and 1KW light so expensive? Wouldn't light movers or timer's and one light per hood do the same thing? I'm not a hater just wondering (maybe you have timer's and splitters so each ballast controls 3 lights?).

Whoa! thanks for stoppin by y'all!! A picture tells a thousand words and I'm going to leave the pics to do the talking Monday. I am running 6KW and flipping internally throughout 12 hoods in 1 room. a light rail only moves linear. so no side to side and front to back action. If I were to light up all 12 lights in a 12.5x15.5 room, the room would need to be radically cooled and Im willing to bet I would get about as much off 8kw constant, than 12, so 6 flipped every 2 hours should get me something similar to 8-10 lights. then I have a whole other area that runs off the same 6 ballasts so they never power off and run constant. I have 2 3ton AC's pumped into this place and I dont want to use glass this time. the way I see it, this is the only way to get more #'s using a flip box. if it was just a single room... neh... but 2 rooms off the same 6 ballasts. the numbers seem more achievable. The show was interesting today... I got a LOT of stuff.. in gallons, 2.5's and 6's! trying for some max fans and 6 more quantums tomorrow! its like a free swap meet for the hydro industry!

Can't wait to see the pix. Thanks for this thread it is giving me ideas. I think I may be interested in 2 on 2 off in a 4 light system. What are your thoughts in change in yield for 4 1Kws used 2 x 2 in 12/12?
