Very Nice AH,

I am truly jealous!..lol :joint: Hey those Nepalis your growing from B.? If so from what area are you growing them from? Take care,

Mota:joint:

Mota de Dios, yep the same Nepalis... He was kind enough to gift me a few regions seeds.

I put down 3 of what was described as "classic highland mountain sativa" and 3 "classic watermellon hashplant. Both were from the Mileche region.

And thanks for the kind words!

Ah

AH, your Congo Black looks like candy bro.

Elmanito.... I love those skinny fingers man. What's the most fingers you have ever seen on one of your plants?

My contribution: Here's one of the Malonica girls at 9 weeks.

BEAUTIFUL BUDS EVERYONE! A happy harvest and smoke to everybody! I think this quote goes well with them all...

"The best herb I smoke in Jamaica and Africa. African - Rasclot! Them people cure it in a banana. In a banana skin. A green banana. They wrap it up in a banana so when you get it, it compressed and, I'll tell you, it great! Blood clot! In Nigeria and Ghana, love that herb! Good herb, mon."
Bob Marley

Different cultures, different languages, different skin color, and different people. Bob Marley reminds us of the thing we all have in common...ONE LOVE! Said it's a punky reggae party, and it's tonight!

Hello

All very beautiful African plants, the Ghananian from El Manito, the Malonica from Dibs, the Congo Black...

African herbman, you are welcome. I just remembered that article and I think that it interesting here.

I love Africa, I'm only 14km far from Africa, hehehehe. But I think that tropical African strains are far better than Marrocan strains.

Greetings

Hi all!
Durban Poison 2nd gen. Better looking pheno out of 3. Still not exactly what I'm looking for. The mother was much better.

Very pretty though. Nice autumn colours and much larger yielding than the mother. Too leafy buds and not very much resin. Also started to fox-tail allot so I harvested a little early.

Beatifull Ghanianan sativa Elmanito!

Regards, Ah

Foxtailing Owl Mirror, is the growth characteristic of cannabis floral clusters that are sativa and tend to stretch and give the appearance of a foxs tail, foxtailing.

African Herbman, could you explain what you mean by:

I would like to understand this so, I may recognize it if it happens to my plants.

AH,

Beautiful Durban brother! Love the super green with the pink hued leaves, very nice work! Do you notice with the Durbans that pink pistils are a common trait? I was told that the Big Sur Holy weed had a pheno with pink pistils and might be a characteristic of some old Durbans that were around California in the 60's. This probably would make sense that Durban Poison was used to shorten flowering time for the Mexicans, Thais and Colombians before the Afghanis started showing up in quantity in the 70's.

Mota :joint:

Thanks Mota!
To answer your question, I have not seen the pink pistils before with my durbans but oddly enough the 3 I just harvested (mostly on the one above) showed a few pink pistils at one stage, mostly on the tips of the buds and then again later in flower a little while before harvest.

I was quite supprised and happy. So maybe the pink pistil pheno big sur holy weed is the DP one...

Also quite strange is that I know durban poison is regarded as a fast and quick flowerer but mine kick in normally but take forever to finish. But my DP gene pool is very small with a few seeds left to explore for amazing parents.

I'm building my new cab very soon which means I can get to germing allot of my landrace collection and start making seed. Going to be a flouro cab with 300 watt.

This is what I'm hoping to test in my new cab soon.
Lesotho (collected by me from best buds from a lesotho section bought in Kwazulu Natal) The buds the seeds came from had good resin to the very tips of the bud leaves and a strong musky scent of great African pot when broken apart. A few even had purpling on the buds. Bright lime green buds. Some of the Brightest I've seen. Super sweet delicate smell. Very similar to swazi but with a more delicate sweetness which reminds me a bit of vanilla.

Zambian
I was surprised to get offered some Zambian pot by some guys I know. Apparently grown by their good mate from seeds he bought back from zambia after sampling what was said to be the best bud he's ever had apparently. A few bag seed were collected. Very clean high. I think the cleanest I've experienced.

Durban Poison Old stock to find some well needed parent stock.

Swazi 3rd gen, 2nd gen and swazi bagseed from another line to mine. I want to test them and breed the lines if I find what I'm looking for.

Transkei Seeds given to me from a friend that collected them off plants in Port St Johns. Apparently the bud there is dark and very stinky and leaves the joints heavily resinated.

Malawi Seeds collected from a nice fat fresh cob that was bought in from lake Malawi. The only real nice cob I've ever had. Most are just crap seeds and sticks and leaf. Really big, disc-like seeds with light brown colour and heavy lip allong seam like good Swazi seeds have.

Congo black 1 and 2 x Swazi 2nd gen broad leaf pheno.

And some other to hopefully.

Regards, Ah:joint:

I must say, I am captivated by the contents of this thread.
So many wonderful pictures and incredible strains.
I would like to ask all of you who are growing or have grown these Landrace Sativas if you might pass along some info on the conditions these plants are being grown under.
For instance, I've heard that many of the African strains do not like to be fertilized much if any at all. Have you found this true? I would also be interested in any other details, especially those conditions one should know about in advance when growing these in a confined, indoor space. Do they require a higher temperature? More/Less water?

You folks have really inspired me and I am hopeful to learn more so, I do not stress my plants by doing a typical grow if these particular strains need more specific care.
