Auto Ak47 x pure sativa: will the seed make autos?

If you use pollen from a pure sativa to pollinate an autoflowering ak47 female, are the resulting seeds likely to produce plants with the autoflowering trait?

i would guess that some would be, possibly only 25%, you might have to cross some of the auto offspring to get a higher percentage, good luck

around the 3rd generation of backcrossing to the AF you should start seeing the AF trait dominate. with the 1st generation you're likely looking at a shortened up flower time compared to the original pure sativa. second generation you should be seeing a few AF's in there. if you can, pollinate with a male AF on the next gen, as the males are supposed to transfer the AF trait a little quicker/more readily. but that last part is something i'm not completely sure of.

Check out the AF section and especially the stickies in there. there should be some good info for you in there!

be well and good luck with the project!

glad to see more people working heavily leaning sativas into the AF pool.

I believe after going through the f2 generation n back crossing it to its mother or father it'd hav more % of get the AF gene but its really all on progency u never kno wat ur father plants guna giv out dom. or recessive genes

But i think if u crossed a male from the f2 that resembled his father n crossed him bak to bak to the mother the seeds would probly hav alot of AF genes

A friend of mine was thinkin of gettin Nevs haze n crossing it to lowryder to make a short flowerd nevs haze

but i think the ideas better for a clone only strain not an actual hybrid

Cross ur plants n choose the best babies n keep wich ones u want as moms

Thats b sumthing to see a 3 foot nevs haze done in 8wks....but then the other seeds u'd probly get sum unpotent tall hazy plants too

next to none will be auto, take your seeds, and just open pollinate your plants, in the f2's, 2 or 3 out of 10 will autoflower, try planting 20+ seeds, and cross the most sativa males to each most sativa female, smoke each phenotype seperately, and whichever is the most like the mom, plant those beans, this is the f3 generation, take to f5 for 100% auto

My understanding (from some stuff on the AF web site, way back and IIRC) is that the AF gene is recessive, so none of your plants will be AF on the first cross.

You will need a second generation (where you'll get about 25%) or a backcross to the AF parent (where you should get about 50%). I haven't tried it myself, but that info was from Joint Doctor, if memory serves.
