Thanks immaculate... the WH was def getting real bushy, but my eye must have failed me because it turned out to be male, so i had to let it go. No pollen this time around.

semperfi... i actually bought the whole light fixture from an online growshop in Europe... if you really want to know where, pm me anytime.

scrubninja... lightproofing was done with thin strips of wood that i glued to the inside edges of the entire box. I then used caulk to seal up any light cracks. To be honest its not 100% lightproof, but it works absolutely fine.

tleom... thanks man

Like i said, im going to have to chop them on July 25 the latest, i have company coming the 1st of august and my harvest needs to be dried up and sealed away in jars by then.
Either way, ill keep you all updated and ill try to get my hands on a decent camera in the meantime.

getting close to the finsish line... stay tuned :bandit:

Quick Progress Update

Quick Progress Update

I forgot to mention that as things would have it, i wound up with 4 females... 2 Cheese, 1 Afghani #1 and 1 Kings Kush. 44 days into 12/12 and all of them are getting nice and frosty.

Started flushing with H2O today... so yesterday was the last day of feeding.

I also just now took the liberty of checking trichomes with a 60X mag lens and heres the report:

2 Cheeses: about 30% clear, 60% milky, 10% amber.... so harvest doesnt look as far off as i thought.
Afghani #1: about 30% clear, 70% milky, and no signs of any amber trics yet. ill give her another week with intense supervision
King's Kush: 50% clear, 50% milky... shes gonna need to go all 55 days, i just wish i could let her go 60+, but owell.

Harvest isnt far off, and i gotta get a camera :cuss: but ill do my best to keep you updated.

it is the beginning of the end :bandit:

Looking good kush. I'm jealous of your genetics. All I have is some bagseed, but its treated me pretty good.

Thanks labtec... a lot of time and research went into choosing the strains i have. Also, i was on somewhat of a budget, but i wound up being very satisfied with my choices.

BB Cheese
Nir Afghani #1
GHS King's Kush
REZ Wonder Haze
REZ DSD
WL White Skunk

The Wonder Haze and Double Strawberry Diesel are next :muahaha:

Also, i ordered a new camera yesterday, so hopefully i'll have it just in time to snap some pre-chop pics.

I can't wait for harvest, the culmination of many months work is soon to be enjoyed in one enormously satisfying reward :canabis:

AP Kush, how did you make a hole in your cab for the exhaust, and how did you lightproof it?

Hey everyone, still waiting very patiently on my camera... by the looks of it it wont be here untill monday or tuesday... hmm. In the meantime, the Cheese's are starting to look very ripe (about 30% amber at 48 days!!). I will see if i can manage to take a few pics before i bring them down, but at the very least ill have some nice post harvest pics for ya soon :joint:

Thanks for the comment disco!

Woall: the exhaust hole is a little hard to describe, and since my camera is broken ill have to do my best using the pics i already have.
Using the 120mm fan that i have, i cut an octagonal hole in the upper right corner of the back wall of the cab:

Then i fastened the fan securely with screws, making sure to place a thin layer of electrical tape between the fan and the wall (this softens vibrations and keeps the fan running quietly).

The next step was making some kind of connection adapter for the carbon filter. This had me stumped for a few hours, untill i decided to go with the most simple and direct method. I constructed what would serve to be an airtight box, connecting to the carbon filter as my exhaust. The box fits snugly around the fan, and has a top that is glued and screwed on. Herein i sawed out a 125mm diameter hole for the filter. I also drilled a small hole in the side of the box for the wire from the fan.

So far it seems to be doing the job... temps are never more than 4-5 degrees above ambient, and even in the tight quarters which is my apartment, the smell is unnoticeable :D

As for lightproofing, this was the hardest part to figure out, and i again settled for a simple method, which as of now is not 100% perfect, but gets the job done. I just cut out long, thin strips of wood and glued them to the inside edges of the cab. They serve as a type of lining for the doors and like i said, it gets the job done. You can kind of see it in this pic -

I suppose if i wanted to lightproof it 100% i could tape a layer of thick electrical tape or weatherstripping onto the wood lining. This way the doors would seal completely, and its would be pitch black at night.

ANYWAYS... that's quite enough out of me for now, ill be back to report when there's something to report.

peace and good love to one and all :ying:

30% amber at 48 days? Wow, must be nice. You are quite crafty, AP KUSH. Good idea on the wood strips. I thought of that once but went with the weather stripping instead. Stripping works great if you're lucky enough to get the correct thickness and dexterity. If the crack isn't perfectly square, light leaks at the fat point or ends up too thick at the narrow point. The wood idea is better, bypasses a lot of w stripping headaches.

Yea i know... it almost seems to good to be true. Even the King's Kush is showing amber trics on some of its tops.
I'm still going to let them go for another few days and the KK isn't coming down before day 55. The 2 cheeses look just about ready and even though day 50 seems a little early, when the trichomes are 50/50 milky/amber i gotta chop the crop :smoker:

Oh, and btw... thanks for the kind words discobiscuit. Ill have harvest report up very soon.
I can't wait till i get my camera :D

"""Space is of concern so the 7 best specimen will make it to the 4L pots along with the WonderHaze, and then all 8 plants will be put into flower. Both the Cheese and the KK are feminized so im hoping for at least 6 females. Only time will tell..."""

4 l pots?????

arnt 4 liter pots about 8x8 inches????

Haha... yea actually ur right HOODOOBLUESMAN. I just re-measured the pots... they're actually 6x6x8 inches in volume. I also re-checked the metric volume of the pots from the order site and they are measured at 3.5 liters (which = approx. 0.92 gal),

If i misinformed you earlier, then that is my mistake, but as you can see from my thread, my four girls are doing just fine.

On that note... i think the chop is coming within the next 72 hours. All of the plants have begun to show amber trics, and im running out of patience :yummy: Besides i've been flushing for the past 10 days so they should be getting pretty close to harvest ready.

I'll let you all know it's going down, but in the meantime im just waiting for my camera

Harvest report coming soon :bandit:

OK... im done...

The time now is 14:52 EST

The plants are going into a 36 dark phase NOW

And then... manicuring, drying, and curing

Time is of the essence, and i would rather spend an extra two days drying and curing my harvest than letting it ripen on the vine. Either way, this op is coming to a close.

Guys... i really want to post some pics... but i have to operate within the available parameters... which means no camera in the mail yet

Stay tuned........... :bandit:
