Golden Syrup does the same sought of job (90% sucrose),, so does white sugar (99.9% sucrose) ,, and the honey (90% fructose) is even sweeter,,

It's only food for the micro-herd after all

Golden Syrup usually contains traces of sulfur ,, but the black-strap and honey doesn't :canabis:

Yeah,, all we gotta do now is ask Oxfam to start stocking Bio Biz or Plagron soil mixes and we dont need to go back to the growshop any more.. lol

Seriously,, some local hydro/grow-shops in the UK do an honest days work,, like the local baker or butcher,, if you get to know them as a valued customer then you'll get discounts, products to test,, and freebie samples. The major gardening chains and supermarkets can't offer the same customer service... IMO

In Spring then Asda potting compost is a bargain at 99p a bag,, ideal for seedlings and adding to soil mixes! :canabis:

i use cavemens guano - i heard he had a deal with oxfam which is awesome.

whilst i would agree with DocLeaf about supporting your local growshop, i like to get as much as i can from regular shops just for security/safety reasons (just me being paranoid probably). online stores do some good stuff.

gardendirect.co.uk do big bags of perlite, powdered dolomite lime, seaweed meal and liquid, rock phosphate, rock potash and many other things.

lbsgardenwarehouse.co.uk are more of a wholesaler but do a great range of BIG pots very cheep along with lots of other stuff.

i also use wilkos and screwfix quite a bit.

My friend has used Pick and Mix without problem, they even gave him a free stash tin when he ordered.

Nice spot on the Molasses! Cheers for that.

Nice VG, picked up a small bottle of the seaweed extract with my order to test it out, probably going to keep it for a foliar spray when my girls are looking a bit tired.

Re: Molasses in Holland & Barrett - I popped into my local today, they had two types, one sulphered, one Blackstrap - cheers for the info UK crew! £1.69 for a 740g jar, bargain, have stocked up with a few jars..

Best place to buy water-retaining crystals in Bulk instead of 500 gram bags anyone?
