plants showing sex during veg?

I have 14 plants in soil and sets my light 18/on and 6/off, its been 10 weeks in and some of the plants are showing it sex already?? so far there are two male and three female. I'm confused, because i haven't start flowering them yet. the plants are about 2-3 foot tall and its in a room within a room in the basement, and there are no light leak.

what could be the problem?

No problem. This is what every strain of cannabis does. As a matter of fact, if you are growing from seed you want the plants to show pre-flowers before throwing them into flower. If you don't wait, it can throw the plants into shock. This is only the case with plants from seeds and not clones because clones are usually older plants and have already developed. Perfectly normal, and unless the strain is an auto flower strain such as Lowrider, then you can keep vegging them without having them flower.

make sure its 100% a male before you throw it out.

I don't want to flower these plants, because I'm planing to keep some of it as mother plant and get clones from it for years to come. Should I be worry then, if they show preflower?

it dont mater if a mother plant shows a few preflowers. going by your pic the growroom you have must have light leaks cause that male plant is going into full flower.
preflowering is when a plant throws out a pistil or ball here or there. like only one or two flowers.

your pic shows a plant going full flower.


check your grow space for any light leaks. must be total darkness in the growroom.

Light leanks are a no no but how would it cause a male to go into full flower?

That male might be a breeder?!

I've had plants under 24 hour lighting that flowered. They weren't self flowering strains either, just an anomaly. When they were put under 12/12 lighting they shot up to over 5' really really quickly. Weird... But I've often said that there are no certainties or guarantees in nature.

all this means is your plants have become sexually mature its not a bad sign

again your plants are sexually mature means thier ready for flowering

is no problem it's natural as for your male i've had males go into full flower while still under 18/6 lighting. i've noticed once the male has matured he'll flower out in any amount of lighting 24/0-18/6-12/12 dosent matter

yea the plants just went into heavy preflower. and its defo a male.

light leaks will make no difference. but make sure theres no light getting in during 12/12.

watch some of my comments sometimes i do like a drink.
