Well, I got a gift in the mail a bit ago, and the person who sent it wasn't thinking very clearly, I imagine. I recieved a nice size sachel of buds, that had been put in a regular zip lock baggie, rapped in paper towels that had been doused with perfume and shipped in a cardboard box. As soon as I recieved it, I could smell a problem! The perfume had permiated the zip lock baggie, and now I have realy good bud that tasts and smells lik a department store counter. :frown:

Is there anything I can do with this to salvage it? Please help! :yoinks:

A water cure may be your only option. I don't know what's in those perfumes, but I sure wouldn't smoke it.

Edit: Just realised that I've somehow ended up in the women's forum! Maybe one of the ladies will be able to advise you, as I have no idea about perfume in particular.

Just let them air out for a couple days. Not too long ago I bought some shit that smelled like ammonia. I broke the buds up a bit, kept the jar open, and after a few days the smell was gone.

Set the buds out in front of an ionizer, if will remove 99% the scent if left long enough.

If concerned about consumption of perfume residue, then water cure before smoking, eating or drinking it. After the water cure, it will have little to no taste or odor.

There are crazy amounts of water curing threads on here...do a search and you'll have non-perfumey bud! :joint: good luck!

bho might do it. but ive processed trim that really smelled like sulfur from sulfur burners and the end product completely smelled and tasted like sulfur....

ok so your only option is to water cure. the perfume smell with follow you no matter what. if you eat it do you really want to ingest perfume, if you make hash do you want perfume smelling hash. water cure man. a couple of hours should do. no need to spend days soaking.

I knew someone that put orange peels in a jar with the buds. Don't know if it actually worked or not.
