Foxfarm nutes

I've set up a gravity drip irrigation system so I mix up a few days food at a time. I'm using Foxfarm nutes for the 1st time, Grow Big and Big Bloom per the chart on their website but they also recommend using Grow Big every other watering. Do I run a risk using it all the time? Should I cut back on it? Right now the plants look as healthy as can be, but I don't want to have overfert problems. TIA

maybe try halfing the dose if yer worried.. Just be careful when ya add in tiger bloom, if that is what you are going to use... go half strength on that for sure or you will burn yer ladies... imo.. peace..

1 tbls of tiger bloom is barely 450PPM,barely enough to wet the appetite of a flowering plant.Afraid I have to disagree.2 teaspoons of tiger bloom per gallon water is fine for my plants.I never went by the schedule much using FF products.I gave up on the expensive ass big bloom altogether. If I can make a suggestion after trying bookoo nutes,PBP grow is superior to FF grow big IMO and wont burn your plants period. It will become a non-issue.I like to use FF grow during the first 2 weeks of 12/12 with maybe a skosh of tiger bloom thrown in.During the stretch FF grow big is very effective and wont burn your fully matured vegged out plants. Then after 2 weeks or so of grow big I use 2 teaspoons tiger bloom per gallon water.

Feeding your plants is a delicate process It wouldn't hurt to gradually step up your dosage but every plant is different. I always start at 1/4 strength and move up to full strength feeding, sometimes not even full.

If your plants are healthy you are doing great so keep it up!! it's easy to see all that plant food and think the more the better but a healthy green plant will produce more bud then a dead crispy one burned by fertilisers.

BTW fox farm is a good company and I love their soil!

Thanks for all your input. I did start off at half strength for a couple days and always watch for signs. They seem to be doing great, here's a picure after a week of BB/GB mix.

Yea gradually kick the nutes up with FF.. And you cant go wrong.. Nutes to some people are like roids to the roid head they always think more is better.. When in fact it is not.. K.I.S.S is good to follow imho.. peace..

Start your plants off at 1/4 - 1/2 strength and let your plant(s) tell you if they need anymlore then that.I use FF nutes every other watering at low doses or I'll kick back and wait for the plant to tell me whats up.

One thing you do need to look out for with Tiger Bloom is it will drop your pH significantly...to about 4.0!!So be sure to check the nute solution's pH before you water if adding Tiger Bloom.

My usual watering schedule is plain water, next time they get feeding, then the next time a watering so basiclly every other watering is a feeding.

I poured in the rest of nutes I had made up and noticed some of the solids had settled on the bottom. Will an airstone down on the bottom keep it mixed up? I mix up enough to last a few days and worry about the separation issue.
