My seeds came in the Joint Doctors lowryder mix pack packaging...

http://www.icmag.com/ic/userimages/...56353b501c80b83922ec8_91867.jpg?dl=1244751426

Anyone think it's possible they are not Lowryder?

Anyways...

Dropped seeds in a shotglass on June 13th.

Most popped through the Jiffy pellets on the 15th...

Then dropped their hats by the 16-18th... and the last seed popped up on the 20th.

Most of my seeds are in a DWC Tub with GH Nutes and RO water...

this one is the biggest and it is in FFOF.

The first week they sprouted, I had to have my closet door closed (I had Family over) with the 400W MH running and it got DAMN hot in the grow room.... around 90-95.

Since then It has been around 75-80.

BTW...

NONE of them have shown sex yet.

I really thought they would start showing in three weeks.

Any ideas?

That is a month old? It's definitely behind schedule a bit... but looks ok. How big is that pot? Might be rootbound...no other factors? fungus gnats? anything?

the pot is pretty small... but this is the biggest... the idea was to transplant after Sexing so I could have all females.

Not bugs... no problems... just the first week with a little extra heat...

although... I did put the First four that popped into my dwc... the other three that I had pop out of the total 10 seeds I put in soil... So.. this one probably popped out of the Jiffy pellet on the 19th or 20th...

Which means it is on day 26-27... and this is the biggest...

One of the plants in the DWC has some genetic issues otherwise they are all slightly smaller than this one.

I posted this pic because it has the least room for user error... just FFOF soil and RO water... with a light feeding of GH maxibloom powdered Nutes once so far.

the DWC plants are smaller.... but starting to grow faster... and my Reservoir temperature is always fluctuating because of my Cheap Ass Ice Bottle Method...

Check out AquaShield from botanicare, using it allows you to have a slightly higher res temp with no issues. Kind of insulates the roots by colonizing them.

I see it done all the time, but because all plants have a "kick-back" period after a transplant where they slow down a bit, I never thought it was a good idea with AF since the life cycle is so short. IMHO AF's should always be planted in final-size pots.

I have seen stress-stunted AF's rebound quite nicely, but that rebound can take a couple of weeks, getting you to day 90 and beyond just to pull out decent bud at the end. Some AF's are quite mistake-friendly, others are not. I'd say the small pot plus that period of heat stunted this one pretty good, and you are probably looking at a 2 week delay.

I'd say you have little reason to suspect they aren't lowryder, but it's always possible. It sure looks like one, just with late flowering. That's rare, but not unheard of. I'd give it an ultimatum... say right to it's face ... "you have one week to show preflowers, or you're mulch. You hear me? MULCH!"

Hello mile,
Sorry to hear ur having so many troubles with AF dude.
AFs are supposed to be easy because they flower on their own :p
Imho, get a good, proven AF strain from a good shop.
I would contact attitude. None of the AF seeds u got from them actually AF'd ? That sucks.

31 days and First Female!!!! Finally...

:yeahthats

@Lowrdr - you are a true professional!

:woohoo:

I got my first White Pistils today!!!

I don't see any balls on any of them yet... I'm hoping that means females...

With the size of plants I have managed to grow... I will need all the Girls I can get.

Check the first female... This one is in my DWC and popped about 2 days before the one in soil shown above...

She is about 31 days... and my Runt.

Okay... So i just noticed that all four of the lowryder mix plants in my DWC tub have shown sex...

I have three more in soil that were about 2 days behind so i expect those to show soon.

Thankfully my only male was a Genetic FREAK.... so I just disposed of him.

Okay... A few last questions for you auto pro's.

Now that I have three females in my DWC tub...

Would it be okay to add a half dose of GH Liquid KoolBloom.

I just want to give the plants the best chance to grow bigger...

Another Question-

Once I transplant the Three in soil... do you think it would be best to leave them inside... or... I can move outside on my deck for flower.

Any opinions would be AWESOME.

thanks everyone.

I have never used KoolBloom, but I'd wager it's probably fine. I'd start at 1/4 strength and gauge their reactions before going 50% though.

you'd probably get better growth outside if everything is ship-shape, but you'd also have to worry more about bugs, weather, etc. It's a trade off, maybe just put one outside keep two inside, then next time you'll know which is best.

I added a 1/4 dose of koolbloom to my DWC bucket by taking 2 gallons out.... and then adding and dumping back.

They perked up and seemed to love it.

Also, I transplanted the 3 in soil to 5 gallon buckets and put on my deck today.... Not seeing any signs of shock as they went from FFOF to FFOF and the dirt held the shape of the small containers pretty well during transfer...

With 5 Gallons I won't have a Chance in hell at root lock and I will barely have to feed them anything with the fresh soil.

I will most likely add a 1/8 strength dose of MaxiBloom to my RO water once or twice to make sure they get calcium and magnesium not in my RO water.... and maybe a feeding of the KoolBloom towards the end before I flush.

I think they will show sex tomorrow or the next day...

i judge my feeding by looking at the plant. if the leaves are light green they need nutrients, once they get dark green and a sort of "shine" to them theyve had enough for a few days. its about letting your plant talk to you and tell you what it needs
