Lost eight plants so far- Will human pee ward off animals and raccoons?

First, the plants were uncovered and something got to them. Then I covered what was left with a net and stakes in the ground but they still got to my last two. It looks to me like the work of raccoons because a stake was pulled up and the net was moved out of the way.

I'm germing more but have to keep animals away so was thinking human pee and waste... Anyone ever tried that?

Just in case I will probably put down some snail bait but I think this is the work of some creatures.

use chemicals and f the planet further! ,, sorry did we miss something? :chin:

Anyhow,, could be squirrels (tree-rats) if you have them,,! Urine and human hair are good for deterring deer and wolves,, but otherwise most animals don't care,, they'll just pee on your pee!

It is possible ,, set up a hide,, and shoot whatever it is that's doing the damage! But remember that it could always be inquisitive kids,, playing games! so please hunt safely! :bandit:

Show us an image and someone will tell you what's doing the damage,, a picture paints a 10,000 words!

Good luck!

:cuss:BASTARDS! I HATE coons, they wreck everything.Any pee won't keep them away. Dogs work well. And shooting them works really well.As far as any kind of repellent, well coons are nasty vermin, and nothing works.Human pee and shit will just attract them more. You could put a live trap out,but then you will still have to figure out what to do with the SOB. Thats why I said shooting.........always works. Marywanna

Yep, plain old cancer causing cigarette tobacco will keep them away if done correctly. Buy the crap at the smoke shop in the bulk form. You can get a pound for $20. Mix the tobacco, a couple bottles of Durkees red hot (or any other hot pepper sauce), and 1 cup neem oil in a bucket add hot water till the mixture is a nice slop. Take the concoction and spread it around the ground making a perimeter around the base of the plants. (Give a few feet from the stems.) Replace slop once a month. I use this in conjunction with chicken wire cages to fend off any and all critters. (AND ITS ALL ORGANIC.):woohoo:

We can use the word coon again?
Either trap or shoot the fuckers. Just don't change your username to coonhunter, I hear it's taboo.
Good luck with the coon hunting.
Here's a great coon/pest gun.

I lay across the bed and shoot from the window ledge, from the second story. Assassin style
It shoots a .223 round. Plenty enough punch to end a critters life in a humane way.

Same round a few of our good ol guys and gals shoot.
*exc are ones with 9mm, 10mm, 40S&W or 45ACP, 7.62x 39..
I love the ar-15, what a versatile weapon

Gotta say, human urine is one of the least effective rodent/animal controls.

Cages are really the only way to go , imo. . even then.. some animals will climb that shit.

I've lost my share of plants this year, too.

Well this is something I can do, minus the chicken wire. I'll give it a shot(get it?). I'm just hoping to keep them away long enough that the plants get bigger and they don't find them interesting.

Is there something about seedlings that attracts animals? Why would an animal go after 'new born' plants? I'm putting this on raccoons but who knows, maybe it's not. I had a net up to keep birds from getting to them and it looked like something was smart enough to open the net which I had staked...

Damn I wish I knew what it was. I'm down 3 Maple Leaf Indica, 3 Sugarberry, and 2 Love Potion right now.

Can you get some welded fabric and encase and top the area?

I"m phucked on finding predator piss where I live(the boonies). Maybe I'll catch a coyote and leash him at my grow site? Yeah, that's the ticket.

Question for anyone with experience dealing with coons, do they stop screwing with plants once they have grown some? These plants are in potting soil that has no organic material- no fish, no blood or bone, nothing. Something is just eating the plant growing out of my little pots, not digging them up. The little jiffy pots look disturbed or moved around when I visited but did not look like they were dug up.

I guess it could be anything but it looks like the work of coons... I am going to try and do the tobacco thing if I can, it's the only thing that makes sense to try and ward them off. Hopefully it's not birds spotting the seedlings then picking them off because obviously my net-thing didn't stop them the second time and probably will not in the future.

We have always had coons around and I remember moving some plants that were already 4 feet plus to this site a couple seasons ago and nothing screwed with them even though I was using organic nutes. They were fine. I have no idea why I can't get them off the ground or what it is screwing with them. The little fuckers have no idea what they've cost me in potential so far.

Thanks all.
