I've also been toking on a bunch of blue dream ... later I read a thread here at IC that its one of the top commercial strains of '09

I agree with doc leaf. you cant go wrong with heavy duty fruity
nl, ak and sensi star are also all good. critical mass is good. the real big bud from the north west is good too.

Serious Seeds Chronic has proven the highest yields that I've seen. Grown out indoor as taller plants grown in a fox farm / miracle grow potting mix and allowed taller growth that I usually allow (about 36 inches or so for these... I usually keep it well under 30 inches). Some buds were solid and longer and way bigger around than my arm. Very consistent among my 10 seed grown plants.

Depends on what you call commercial. There is a HUGE difference between the average ICM person and the guy on the street. I grow all the connoisseur strains and the commercial stuff and I've found that the average guy on the street doesnt give a shit about most of the things i take for granted in "good" weed.

So things I look for in a commercial strain - size, size and easy to trim! Taste and potency dont matter. In fact, the average guy doesnt want the couch lock one hit stuff. They want to smoke in a party environment and smoke a lot.

So...Big Bud works GREAT. I only use Sensi Seeds Big Bud. I'm also getting great results from Medi Bud. Both are huge produces and super easy to trim. That makes all the differnece for me. I'll even take a little less money for stuff that trims faster. I can trim BB and MB in half the time i can trim some of the other stuff i've run.

I also like AK47 and Chronic both have worked great for me in the past.

Another factor is cloning - needs to clone fast and again BB clones fast for me.

I'm sure I'll catch some flak for this, but Mandala strains would work well commercially. They are easy to grow, don't require much time or effort, and in good conditions yield very well. Those landrace genes crossed with named strains can create some seriously strong F1's.

pure power plant heads down for me for high yeald in a sog. uniform , dense long colas, with a short flower period and a good cloner, but trimming can be a pain , Big Big and Top 44 also I find lemon skunk to be a good one too when tweeked right.
